A Vintage Girl Birthday Blog Hop

This month the DCC Designers are celebrating {A Vintage Girl} Birthday and the launch of her new product line with a blog hop. Please visit the DCC blog for the complete list of designers participating.

For this blog hop I created with the Steampunk Gears Chipboard Album, Vintage Dress Form Chipboard, Steampunk Gear Set Chipboard, Pipe Dreams Large and Small sets.

I used several several acrylic paints by Plaid Crafts including black Chalk Paint, Mod Podge Matte and Mod Podge Spray On.

I created the sand texture using Plaid's Mod Podge Matte and sand. I applied onto the corrugated page and after it dried, I dry brushed Jute, Dark Brown and Black acrylic paints.
To create the heavy rust, I brushed on Mod Podge Matte different spots of the gears, then sprinkled cinnamon, allowed to dry, then added a second coat. After it dried, I lightly sponged on the Jute, Dark Brown and Black acrylic paints. Once the paint dried, I added patina and bronze wax for a metallic finish. I used this method throughout the album.

I added plenty of pockets and journal spots throughout the album. Lots of inked and distressed edges too. I used Mod Podge Spray On to adhere the pattern papers onto the chipboard pages.

I painted theVintage Dress Form Chipboard and stamped the bodice with a script stamp. Once it dried, I sanded the edges and lightly sanded the bodice. I then added a tassel necklace.

There are lots of gears and pipes throughout the pages.

I hope you enjoyed my project today and don't forget to visit the DCC Blog to continue the blog hop and enter for a chance at the giveaway and wish Candy a very Happy Birthday!

Thank you for visiting.

Your work is AMAZING. I need to get my hands on the pipe & dress form chipboard because I got some ideas in my head that I need to bring to life thanks to the inspiration I got from your creativity with this project.
