Valentine's Day Gift Box

I'm on the A Jillian Vance Design blog today with a Valentine's Day project.

I used the adorable cherub Cupid die set and Love Struck stamp set.   I simply love the Cupid with its tiny hearts and arrow! Too cute!

I used a small gable box from stash.  I used Valentine's Day paper and cut pieces to cover the sides of the box.   I was careful to gather the tiny hearts and the arrow to embellish the box.
I'm loving the font on the sentiment "Be Mine".  Simply lovely.

I added the twine to only one side of the handle so there is no need to undo the bow.

I hope you enjoyed my Valentine Day's project.  I also want to  wish all of you a very Happy New Year!
Thank you for visiting today.

Christmas Gift Tags

Merry Christmas!  I have a quick and easy gift tags to share with you.  I used DCWV Christmas Plaid pattern paper and A Jillian Vance products:  Mini Bag Mega Die Set, Ric Rac border dies and retired Santa stamp set.

I used Kraft tags purchased at office supply store.  I embossed them with a diagonal embossing folder.  I then cut a pattern paper to partially cover the front of the tag.  I added the Ric Rac border die cuts to the top and bottom.

I then added a pre-cut gold doily and added the Mini Bag.  I stamped the "Merry Christmas" on the dove tail die cuts, a die available in the Mega Mini Bag set.  I embellished the front with various size Christmas tree wood veneer.

I made 10 for my sister's co-workers.

Pretty Packages #DCWV

Hello and Merry Christmas!  By now most of your gifts have been purchased and it's time for pretty packages.  Today I am sharing a Christmas gift box that was meant for Spring!
I used DCWV's  The Cranberry Christmas Stack available at Michaels.  It's pretty much last call for all things Christmas, so I would run to your store and grab the Christmas paper and other goodies while they last.

I used Dreaming Tree's Peony Gift Box from the Love You Mom collection and the wreath from the Charming Christmas collection.   I imported the files into eCal and resized the wreath to fit the top of the box.  After cutting all the elements, I separated the top and bottom parts of the box.  I used 3M Quick Dry Glue and Glue Dots to adhere the wreath for dimension.

Here is a closeup of the wreath.  I cut the sentiment Merry Christmas from the cut out sheet included in the stack.

This stack has gorgeous silver and gold foil designs.  It's beautiful!

The finished box measures approximately:  6.5″H x 6″W X 5″D

Time to fill up this pretty package with some crafty goodies!
I hope you enjoyed my project and thank you for visiting today.

Welcome to my Craft Family!

I had the opportunity to attend Sizzix's annual Makers Faire in Southern California.  This was my 2nd year attending.  Not only is a Makers Faire with demos and make n takes, but also a warehouse sale.

I've been contemplating the eclips for such a long time and last week, I finally purchased it!  I'm so excited!  I made room for it on my craft table and it's made itself comfortable.  Welcome to my Craft Family!

You you follow me on Facebook, I may have caught my Live video of my first test cut.  This machine is FAST! Wowee!!  The cuts are beautiful!!

My first project is an Angel available from Dreaming Tree FREE!

I used the paper from DCWV The Blush Stack and random scraps.  I used a couple of features in eCal, the software used to cut on the eClips, to slice the bottom of the Angel head and cut it out on gold glitter.  Oh how I missed working with Sure Cuts A Lot!!  I am one happy crafter!!

Here is my Angel!

She shines, shimmers and is beautiful!!  I will be making a few for my Sweet Dulce's pink Christmas tree.

Winter Cheer #AJillianVanceDesign

Have you decked the halls yet?  Honestly, I am not completely done decorating for Christmas.  I took a break from making a banner for one of my sisters, then jumped over to decorate the front room.  Basically, I've been all over the place, so fast and easy crafting works best these days.

So today, I am sharing an easy Christmas treat box.  I used Jillian's Let It Snow stamp set.  The box is a free SVG file from Dreaming Tree.

The box is a one-piece.  Fold at the score lines, adhere the side.  Both top and bottom have tab closures, so you don't need to glue the bottom.
I used scraps to cut the candy canes top and bottom panels.
Before I stamped the sentiment, I shaped to fit the banner, oh the beauty of clear stamps!

I used Glue dots to adhere the sentiment and it was all done. The gold foil holly is simply gorgeous, it's included in the Christmas Plaid paper by DCWV.

Easy peasy and perfect for gift giving season.

Thank you for visiting, I will be back with 3 more projects this month.  So see you again next week.

Hello December #AJillianVanceDesigns

Hello December!  My oh my, how time flies as we are nearing the end of 2016!

Today, I am sharing a quick Christmas project.  The frame was part of a kit, that includes a felt panel with the word Joy stitched.  I am used the NEW Poinsettia Die Set by A Jillian Vance Design to add a little extra.

I cut several layers of the poinsettia, enough to make 3 of them, using embossed foil paper by DCWV.

I layered my pieces and used hot glue to adhere them.

Here is the close up of 2 of the poinsettias:

I added a single poinsettia on the top right corner.

They sure look lovely!  There is still plenty of time to order your Poinsettia die set!  AJVD ships orders super fast!  Thank you for visiting and happy crafting.

Winter Wonderland Blog Hop

Happy Black Friday!! I hope you are scooping up some amazing deals! Today is the last day of the month long Winter Wonderland Hop with DCWV and Eileen Hull.  Both teams are featuring the twist and style tool with DCWV's Christmas Stacks.  Here is my desk top Christmas tree.

I used The Christmas Plaid Stack, Twist and Style tool, wire, twine, metal dies and Christmas metal charms.  The Twist and Style is super easy to use, but Eileen has great step-by-step video tutorials.

For my project, I upcycled a tin can to make a desktop Christmas tree.

I used A Jillian Vance's dies to make the poinsettia and the bow.

I used both wire and cotton twine to make the spiral part of the Christmas tree.  Here is a closeup of the twisted wire and the bow topper.

I used Blue Moon Beads charms as Christmas tree ornaments.

Here is my completed Christmas tree!  Love it!

I added a battery operated votive candle and here is my little Christmas tree lit!

I hope you have enjoyed my project today.  Enjoy your Black Friday Shopping!

Happy Harvest #AJillianVanceDesign

Happy Thanksgiving! Today I am sharing some super easy and fast treat bags I made.

I used the following A Jillian Vance Design products:  goody bag, circle tag, leaf, banner, chain border and the Autumn Blessing stamp set.

I cut all the pieces using DCWV Autumn Leaves, folded and tape together the goody bags and ran the other cuts through the Xyron mini sticker maker.

So easy to make and a time saver!  I will most certainly be making a Christmas version.

I was going to add a gem to the leaf, but I found the navy blue jute ribbon instead so I made bows and they were done.  Love them!

I want to remind you of the Stampalooza Sale going on right now!  Amazing savings, don't miss it!

I hope you have a blessed day with family and friends celebrating Thanksgiving.
