Birthday Card #DCWV

 Translation:  Wishing you many blessings

My Mom celebrated her 77th Birthday earlier this month, this is the birthday card I made for her.  I used DCWV's Happy Day stack and Foil Cardstock stack.

I'm so in love with the Happy Day stack.  Love the floral prints with soft colors with gold accents.
I cut out the tag and the floral circle from the cutout sheets.  I used Glue Dots to pop the circle and secured the pearl strand.  The tiny burlap bow was from a pack I purchased from Target's One Spot.

I also used A Jillian Vance's Nested Banner Die to cut the gold foil banner.  And to finish it off, I stamped the sentiment with Latina Crafter's Birthday Girl stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend.

Stamp organization #PinkandMain

Getting my Pink and Main stamps organized, finally.  My P & M stamps have always been stored in these containers haphazardly.

I purchased the containers from Office Max going out of business sale.  They were part of their store fixtures and I paid $2 for each.   I don't remember how many I purchased, but I also have several in the pantry.

I searched Pinterest for ideas and found plenty.  I decided to continue using these containers simply because I wanted to use what I had.  I purchased the clear seal bags at Daiso, pack of 25 for $1.50 and used 3 packs and picked up 2 extras for future use.

I used white cardstock 8.5" x 11" for the backing; it's one of the large pack available at Michaels.

I have a label maker, however, it would have taken way too much time.  Instead, I used what I had; Avery label #8160.  Using the template available for Word, I was able to use one label for two stamps, 30 labels on the sheet, 2 stamp names per label got me 60 labels.

My stamps are organized by category. Using the Pink and Main store categories as a guide really helped.  I still need dividers and plan on cutting them on my Cricut Explore.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Tell me, how do you organize your clear stamps.

Simply YOU #LatinaCrafter

 Simple, Unique, Simply YOU

One of my favorite stamp sets by Latina Crafter's.  It was from June's release, Siempre tú

I wanted the sentiment to pop so I went with grey tones and stamped the sentiment in black.  I used a mini frame to accent it even further.   I embossed my card base with Craftwell's diagonal pattern.
The silver foil star on vellum is from DCWV DIY Project Stack: Seasonal Wreaths.
The shimmery twine is the perfect finishing touch.

Happy Fall #eBrush

I'm ready for Fall. Yes I am, so looking forward to cooler weather and pumpkin everything.  Speaking of pumpkins, let's get to my card.
I cut all the pieces of the Pumpkin Cupcake on white card stock.   I used the Sharpies pictured and Spectrum Noir T3 and T4.  I used the first setting on the eBrush and because the pieces are small, I used washi tape to hold the pieces in place.

I chose not to use the pieces  that make up the cupcake liner.  Instead, I used the cutouts as a stencil.

Here are all my pieces eBrushed ready to be glued down onto the white background.

I embossed the card base, added a doily and made a slit on the fold to thread the hemp cording.  I used dimensional adhesive to pop the cupcake.

Here's a closer look. I hope my project inspires to use white card stock to create some fun eBrushed color card stock.

Thank you for stopping by today and enjoy your weekend.
Update:  I have entered the food challenge at Double Click's blog.

Hostess Gift Set #eBrush

Happy Friday today I'm sharing a project for Team eBrush.  New month, new sponsor.  This month we are sponsored by Kadoodle Bug Designs.  They specialize in SVG files, cutting files for your electronic die cutting machines.

I used the coffee cup from the Cafe Coffee Girls to decorated the gift box that holds four KCups.  It's the perfect hostess gift.   I gathered up some fun older paper from my stash and used Sharpies; brown, green and not pictured grey, to alter my project.

When I eBrushed the bottom of the box, I wanted to mute the green color, so I first used the green Sharpie followed by the brown along the edges.  For the top, I only used the brown Sharpie to eBrush the edges and then sprayed the top center and sides on the low setting keeping the wand approximately 4 inches away from the paper to mute the cream color.
{Please note the box is not included in the Cafe Coffee Girls collection.}

I used pop dots to add dimension and also popped up the "cafe" and added jute for a bit organic feel.

Here's a closer look of the hostess coffee gift set.
I hope my project inspires to alter the look of your projects with the help of the eBrush.  Bring out the stash of paper and start altering, give it a different vibe.

Thank you for stopping by today and enjoy your weekend.

One in a melon #PinkandMain

Summer is coming to an end and I don't recall having any watermelon.  Must get one tomorrow.
I've been wanting to play with this cutie, but just now got around to it.  I love her hair too.  I colored her with Spectrum Noir markers and paper pieced the watermelon.  I masked off the seeds and added black puffy hearts instead.  I masked off the tag and stacked the sentiment.  Oh and I'm loving the matching bow too.  You can find Melon here.

I also want to remind you, I'm giving away a Pink and Main stamp set on my blog.  Please visit this post here.  I will choose a winner on Tuesday, August 11th.

Mom's 77th Birthday Celebration #DCWV

¡Feliz Cumpleaños Mom! Mi madre turned 77 years young on Sunday.  Here are several photos of the decor I put together featuring DCWV Happy Day, one of the new stacks available at Joann's.  I must warn you, this post is loaded with photos.

First up, the decorated ceramic mason jars. I wrapped strips of the paper, tied pink tulle and embellished it with a rhinestones.  The paper I used for the straw holder is also a DCWV Stack, it's the NEW Mercury Glass Stack.  I used the Explore Air to cut it using a file from The Digi Playground.

And here are the Treat Boxes.  The box, flower and doily are all files available in Design Studio and were cut on the Cricut Explore Air.  The tea light stand you see in the second photo is a file from My ScrapChick.  And that gorgeous string of pearls is by May Arts.  {The gold foil paper is also DCWV}

Dessert, yes please!!  While I was putting the final touches to the banners, my God-Kids were busy creating this DELICIOUS dessert!

This banner was over the treat table.  I used files by Designs on Cloud9 cut on the Explore Air....love the roses!  I used DCWV 12"x12 Kraft Stack for the roses and the scallop banner.

Are you still with me??  Next is the Banner with Bows I created for the photo spot.  I used DCWV Quatrefoil Project Paper Roll  to cover the brick wall.  It measures 120" in length, cut it in half and put the panels side by side.  There's a seam, but I'm ok with that.
I used files from Designs on Cloud9 for the banner and the bow from The Digi Playground cut on the Cricut Explore Air.  The Kraft paper is from DCWV 12"x12" Kraft Stack.  The paper doilies and the rose ribbon were an afterthought and really love how this banner turned out.

I missed my Mom's birthday celebration because I got sick.  I went to setup on Friday and honestly if it wasn't for the photos, I wouldn't remember any of it.  I was running a high fever and Saturday I slept all day and missed it on Sunday. Boo hoo!  I also want to add, my one and only GodSon shot some of these photos, thank you Mijo!!

One more photo, this is my Mom with my GodSon.  She's a petite lady, but oh boy she is one tough lady!  ¡Feliz Cumpleaños Socorrito!

Thanks for visiting and please stop by Friday, I will be sharing more birthday fun! :)
