Ice cream makes everthing BETTER!

Except the card base, all are paper scraps including the die cut.  The ice cream cone and sentiment are from Stamps of Life, Scream4IceCream stamp set.  I've had it for a month and just now got to use it.  Sprinkles are pearls by Recollections.  Difficult to see on the picture, but there's a light shimmer and the color of the twine is brown and light red.

I'm entering this card to the following challenges:
Crafty Ho's - Use twine
Stamp Something - use any sentiment
Pile It On - Cake/Ice cream with Sprinkles

PCW Cutting File Challenge - Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day!

Today starts another challenge at Paper Crafting World, create any project Memorial theme and must have a star.  Here's a page I created for my shadow box.  I used the Kisses 2 U  and Star Lace for the background.
Instead of holding the chocolate kiss, she's now holding the American flag.  The flag is a SVG by Annel, but I converted into a digi stamp; I also created the title.  All paper is DCWV. Twine is by Devine Twine; white ribbon Michael's.

I'm entering this layout to the following challenge:

Birthday cards

My sister requested a birthday card for a "quinceaƱera" the equivalent
of a sweet sixteen. Here's the easel card I whipped up for her:
I used the Forever Young and Sweet Treats carts. The cuts were a bit small to include the scallop edge on the cake stand and the flames on the number candles, so I didn't cut the scallop and trimmed off the flames. :) I used the Cake2Build stamp set by Stamps of Life and use a glitter pen to fill in the flowers. Both pink polkadot paper are from Target's dollar spot and the black/white is by Paper Pizzaz. The organza ribbon from Joann's. I also included a tag that slides to the right under "make a wish"....and for the final touch, I added hotfix stones.

...and here's a birthday cupcake card...except for the card base, all paper is from scraps.  I stamped the definitions of "sweet" and "wish" using Stamps of Life Dictionary4Me stamp set.  The cupcake and "make a wish" is also from SOL, HappyBday2You.  I used an EK Success punch and wrapped some twine.

PCW Challenge #5

Please join us at Paper Crafting World for another challenge.  This week is Birthday and Glitter.

Here's the birthday card I created using PCW Celebrate Sophisticate cutting file set.

In SCAL2, I added rectangle, resized and welded the flourish.  I then cut another flourish on DCWV Lemon Flower stack.  Except for the card base, all paper is from the same stack, which is now one of my favorites.  I wish my Joann's will bring some more in and hopefully a scrapabookaholic doesn't beat me to it.

As a reminder, Cooking with Cricut is having a month long Blogoversary Celebration with free files/prizes every day in May!

bareitbloghop
Welcome to the Bare It! blog hop....now seriously what did you all think this blog hop was about? wink, wink nudge, nudge :-)   We are going to bare it all with Bears!  Yes, bears!  I asked the super talented ladies, to create with only bears and no cuts from cartridges.  Please don't get me wrong, I love my Cricut, but I also love svg cut files, I don't know about my pocketbook, but my scrapbook room is a "blended" family.  :)

Here's my layout created with Paper Crafting World cutting file.

Cinco de Mayo Blog Hop {CLOSED}

Welcome to the Cinco de Mayo blog hop and to my blog.  You've reached the last stop of the hop, but if you happen to come across my blog and want to participate, please start with Abby, our host.

I asked Melin from Paper Crafting World to design a cut file that I can use for this blog hop and boy oh boy did she ever deliver.  She created the bear posing just like my sweet Dulce.  Isn't it the cutest!?

And here's my layout:
I added pop dots to each scallop on each ruffle of the skirt.  It's hard to see on the pic but here's a close up.

Dulce has been dancing folklorico for about 6 years now. The dress she's wearing is from the region of Chiapas.  "Dulceria" is what my dad calls her, "dulce de la dulceria" translates "candy from the candy store". :)  This layout is my sister's mother's day gift.  I'm also entering this layout in the Creative Cutter challenge.

I have blog candy, just leave a comment and I will choose a winner on Monday, May 9th.
