Sizzix Texture Boutique at Michael's for $9.99!!!!

I woke up today determined to buy my embosser machine. I saw the Texture Boutique on eBay for $33.95, not including shipping. So I figured I will buy it at Michael's with my 50% off coupon. I tried my Michael's they didn't have it, tried 2 other stores, they didn't have it either. But at the 3rd store I found the price ticket still on the rack. It was clearanced at $9.99!!! Can you believe it!!! I peeled the ticket with the sku number, I took it to customer care and the lovely Eva called the local stores for me. After calling three stores and no luck, the fourth store had one. I bought the last one!!!

I figured since it was a clearance item they wouldn't take my coupon, so I bought a lavender mailbox, I thought I would decorate for V-Day. When the cashier scanned the coupon it took $5 off the Sizzix!! Tell me how cool was that!!! Unfortunately, she dropped the mailbox and it got bent. BUT THAT'S ALRIGHT BY ME!! I GOT MY EMBOSSER FOR $5!!

It came with 10 bonus embossing folders. I was leaning towards the Cuttlebug, but it was too much for me, besides I have my Cricut for all my cuts, I didn't need another die cutter. I also made up my mind after going back to an older post over at My Cricut Scrapbooking. {Please note her contest is an old post and is now closed}

And it gets better, I get home to find I was a lucky winner of a cookbook over at Lindsey’s Craft List!!! My husband will be so happy!! Saved him a few bucks and I won him a cookbook!!! {I do little cooking.}

Valentine Card

The pattern paper is GCD Studio and cardstock is Recollections. The scallop pattern is from the font 09 Kutups from Clever Someday. I used the weld feauture in SCAL1 to create the scallop card and it measures 5". I bought the pink polka dot ribbon a couple of years ago at Big Lots for my niece’s birthday invitations. I paid a buck per roll; this is the last roll out of the three I purchased. I love Big Lots, but not all of them carry the same stuff, so I shop at three different stores.

Isn’t the big-headed owl the cutest!!? I found it at Michael’s, from the kids dollar bin but only paid .50! It’s made by G Studio under Kidzstamps label. I colored it with my trusted color pencils I bought at Dollar Tree.

Hard to see in the picture, but I finished it up by spraying some Dazzling Diamonds from Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.

Another Valentine Card

Still working on my V-day cards, I'm slowly making progress. Here's what I used to create the card above:

The purple pattern paper is from Story Tellers, the green is Creative Memories, solid cardstock from Recollections. I traced the circles with Gelly Roll glitter pen and added faux stitching with a white Pen Touch both by Sakura.

The heart scallop border is from SVG Cuts. I used my own files for the frog and title.

"Sweet" Valentine Card

This is one of the Valentine cards I created last week. {Still not done, hoping to complete them all this week.}

This card is for my niece Dulce Lucero. Her name translates to "Sweet Brilliance", she is so adorable, smart, beautiful, caring, kind, funny and an overall Sweetheart! I love my beautiful girl!

The printed paper is from Target dollar bin, cardstock from Joann's, Gelly Roll Stardust glitter pen, Pink Paislee pink glitter. I used Chopin Script font for her name, the font is dainty so I "botoxed" it so it cut better. {LOL} The cupcake is from Close to My Heart, Cupcake Sprinkles stamp set.
The border was cut with one of Mamaw’s Legacy files. She has the most gorgeous files and is super generous with them. Please leave her some love if you download her files. {smiles}

Heide Grace at CHA

So I sit down to do a Make n Take at Joann's booth. It was a shirt pin with Heide Grace's new line with Colorbok. Just a few minutes into working on it, I heard someone say "Heide Grace is that you?" I just froze, Heide was sitting next to me! Tell me is that not intimidating??!! Now remember I'm little bit on the shy side and I did take a picture with Vickie Howell and Cathy Cano-Murrillo, but Heide Grace was a surprise. I quickly finished the project and left. Thank goodness she was chatting with the woman that approached her. LOL

Here is a picture of the project and her new product line. I love her work and so happy she's back with her products!

How about another GIVEAWAY? {CLOSED}

The folks over at Making Memories were super nice! They were giving out Slice aprons at CHA. I asked if I can have extra to giveaway on my blog and they were more than happy to do so!

Please leave a comment and I will use random.org to choose a winner on Wednesday, January 27th at 9pm PST. Thank you for visiting my blog!

Cuttlebug in RED!!

I was too tired last night to post the pictures of the new Cuttlebug in red. I like it! So here's the scoop, this color will only be available to HSN. A PC demo told us it be on HSN end of February. If it's a decent bundle AND the price is right, I may just purchase it! I prefer the blue one but it comes in a bundle with scissors and a cutter that I just don't care for. I also asked if they would have additional colors to go with the Expressions that were made exclusively to Walmart, but he didn't know or didn't want to share the info. As for me, if the price is RIGHT, I don't care about the color.

PC also has new folders, 12" borders, new skins for the Gypsy you can find the pictures on April's blog, here's the link: http://blucricut.wordpress.com

Don't forget to leave a comment on my previous post for a chance to win the Cricut Cake Chef's Hat.

Scrapbook Expo Anaheim, CA

I made it out to Anaheim last Friday for the Scrapbook Expo. It was a little dissappointing to see it shrink from years past, but I did manage to get a few deals! Stocked up on bling, can't beat it at .99! I found the cutest ribbon by Fancy Pants for a buck! My favorite place to shop at the show is www.dollarscrapbooking.net. They carry lots of Creative Imaginations goodies.

I also discovered scrapbuck.com at the show. The line was crazy long! But they did have tons of bargains on paperpads, chipboard and Making Memories flowers, I got a stinky good deal on them!

Make n takes are always fun especially when they are FREE! I finally tried out the Zutter machine. I have seen different projects made with this tool on YouTube and really didn't think much of it. But this is a really neat tool!!! I need to add it to my want list right up there with an embossing machine, hmm I'm leaning towards the Cuttlebug.

Can you believe I past up a deal on the Glue Glider, the pink & green one. This is the second time I passed it up! OK definately buying it at the next show! I saw it on eBay, which is not a bad deal, but the deal at the show is always better. I considered buying the ATG but that's too heavy for my carpal tunnel hands.

Last week was a Scrapbook Spending Frenzy. Stocked up on paper pads at Joann's, great deals at the Expo and stopped by my LSS. I love Collective Journey in Redlands. I found a dress form for $7! It measures about 10" tall, I can't wait to dress it up for Valentine's. I bought more paper, by BoBunny and October Afternoon and got my favorite colors of Distressed Ink pads.

What's next? CHA on Friday. Can't wait to see the new product lines!
