DIY Enamel Dots

My dear friend Amanda shared a DIY Enamel Dots video on my Facebook wall and I decided to give it a try.  Here's the link to the video: Homemade Enamel Dots .   One very important tip, make sure the room is well ventilated.  Keep in mind if you try this, you will be melting plastic, expect fumes.

I used a small toaster oven, had the windows and back door open that seemed to help.  However, next time, weather permitting, I will take it outside.

I purchased the pony beads at Dollar Tree, arranged the beads on wax paper; for best results use parchment paper.  Make sure the room is well ventilated.  I baked them at 410° for 40 minutes. Temperature and time will vary depending on the pony beads and oven.  Please keep a watchful eye and open up your windows, especially if you're sensitive.

The beads I purchased where big and the enamel dots are bigger than the ones I have.  I'm definitely happy with the results.  In the video, she uses Mini Pony Beads, adding them to my shopping list.  I'm totally loving the results and will be baking more!  Below is a photo of the enamel dots I recently purchased, compared to the ones I baked today.  Larger and loving them!

Here I used them on a birthday card, using Latina Crafter stamps and DCWV Birthday Wishes stack.

There's also another DIY video using Viva Paper Pens.  Thanks for stopping by!

I CRAFT THEREFORE I AM

Super excited to share my Close To My Heart Crafty Necklace....assembled by me!!

Here's what you'll need from the Base & Bling Wearables, your choice of Antiqued Silver  or Antiqued Gold tones:
30" Chain {1 in a pack} $5.95
Circle Pendant {3 in pack}$4.95 Also choice of Square Pendant
Craft Queen Style 32 stickers on sheet -  $3.95 each {4 styles to choose from}
Liquid Glass

Select your favorite charms.
Craft Queen charms $3.95  {6 charms - 2 each of 3 designs in silver and gold}
Circle Glass covers $1.95 {3 in pack}
Rhinestone Charms $4.95  {6 charms 3 of each in silver and gold}
 Storyteller Charms $3.95 {6 charms - 2 each of 3 designs in silver and gold}

You'll receive plenty of charms to create more pendants, make sure you grab extra necklaces.

The stickers are 1" x 1" square, but since I chose the Circle Pendant, I used a 1" circle punch.

I centered the sticker sheet and then gently pressed inside the pendant.  I then used Liquid Glass to adhere the Glass Cover.  You want to use an adhesive that dries clear; make sure  you don't shake your Liquid Glass.  You don't want air bubbles.

Make sure you allow the Liquid Glass time to dry complete before handling the pendant:  allow 30 - 60 minutes to dry.

I got another pendant drying....I am totally in love with these!!  I'm going to have to get the Square Pendants next!

Please note:  Liquid Glass will appear cloudy as it is applied, but it will dry to a clear glass sheen.

Get creative, you can punch designs from your favorite paper pack or use your favorite photo!

Te Amo {Subway Art}

Translation: You are exceptional, I love you, you fill my life with love.
Tonight again, I played with Latina Crafter's stamps.  This time I created a subway art, on the 3x4 journaling card, cut with their dies.  The pattern paper is by Recollections using MME Love Me designs.   I debated using wood veneer potty people, but I really wanted the Vintage Banner Te Amo to stand out along with the red heart.  Hmm, thinking I can make my own pocket pages cards....that's a thought. ♥

I'm almost done with Valentine projects, then I'll be switching over to St. Patrick's theme projects.  Thanks for stopping by!

Wi Fi Love

Translation: Sending You Kisses

Challenging myself to use my stamps to the max!  Today I used an existing LC stamp set, En el blanco {Bullseye} to create a Wi Fi Love card, not to shabby eh.

The cardbase and layers were cut using the Journaling Card dies, and I also added a little embossing with text message folder, I knew that bad boy would come in handy when I got it on clearance. {Ok sometimes clearance is a hit and miss, but it worked this time.}
I had everything in place, but something was missing so I stamped various hearts to the cardbase.  It looks so much better with scattered hearts.

So there you have it, sending you besitos via Wi Fi!  Thanks for stopping by!

Amor {Latina Crafter}

It's my turn to share a project at the Latina Crafter blog. I put the dies to good use:
The title Amor {Love} is a die cut out of DCWV corrugated paper, although the ridges got ironed out. :)  I stamped the target from the En el blanco stamp set on the wood veneer, it's a cut using the 2x2 journal die {rounded corners}.  This lil' die had been lost for a month and recently made a reappearance.  The arrow is from the journal die set {sharp corner}
Lastly, I used the medium flower die from Mi flor favorita.  I had brown tissue paper, folded several times and ran it through the Cuttlebug.  Loved how it turned out. You can see a closeup below.

Now to get to keep this flower nice and fluffy!  Thanks for stopping by and have a fantastic Monday!
