Thankful #DCWV

Family gatherings and a mega feast, yes it's almost time for Thanksgiving.  So much to be thankful this year.  As the year comes to an end, Thanksgiving is a good time to reflect and give thanks.  I am so thankful for my family, husband, a circle of frends and ever so grateful everyone is healthy.

Today I'm sharing Thanksgiving decor using DCWV's The Harvest House 12"x12" Stack.

This year my sister Lu is hosting Thanksgiving.  This home decor piece is a gift for her.  I painted the wood frame by Fab Lab with orange DecoArt paint.  I purchased the wood frame from Joann's during their Fall clearance.  They are no longer available, but the good news they have Christmas theme wood frames available.

I used the Cricut Explore to cut the flowers, leaves and the Thankful.

I used the chevron pattern paper to cover the backside of the pumpkin and adhered the "thankful" with Glue Dots.   I added the leaves to the burlap bow and hot glued it to the frame.  I then realize the bow was missing a little something so I added another bow.  I layered a bow using May Arts leaf linen ribbon and added the flower to the center.  Don't miss out May Arts Black Friday Weekend sale save 20% off their retail shop, The Ribbon Resource.

Here are a couple of close up photos.

Are you still decorating for the great gathering?  Will you be doing anything different this Thanksgiving or sticking to traditions?

I hope you enjoyed my project and thank you for visiting.

December 25th - Joy

I created with  a home decor with the JOY corrugated word and used Christmas paper by Doodlebug Design.  This cutie is ready for Christmas!  She originally sits on a present, but I cut the present to have her sit on the JOY.
Since this is a digital image, I resized to to fit the JOY word and colored her with Spectrum Noir markers.

Thank you for visiting!

Christmas Morning #eBrush

Happy Friday, sharing today's project for Team eBrush from this month's sponsor, Dreaming Tree . Today I'm sharing a Christmas Morning scene from the new Christmas Bendi Card Collection  The collection has 3 different designs and are alsoavailable to purchase as single designs.

I used the perfect paper for my Bendi card The Merry Memories Stack by DCWV.   I used the eBrush with Spectrum Noir markers for shading, you will also need your favorite liquid glue and embellishments.  The Bendi Card Collection are meant to be mailed, however I cut the design larger to use for Christmas decor.

Here are all the parts of the cards shaded and ready to be assembled.  The card is easy to assemble, but if you should need a little help, Dreaming Tree includes detailed PDF assembly instructions and step-by-step video with all of their collections.

Here is the Christmas Bendi Card assembled.  Notice the cardinals hanging out by the windows?  {smile}

Here is another view.  I used pop dots on the wood panel for even more dimension.   I used gold foil paper to cut the children silhouettes, a little difficult to capture, but it looks great in person.  The file comes with Mom and Dad silhouettes, but I prefer to have unsupervised children on Christmas morning.

I hope you enjoyed my project today.  Thank you for stopping by today and enjoy your weekend.

Secret Santa Sleigh #DCWV

Santa is coming!!!  I made this for the DCWV & May Arts Blog Hop. The sleigh is a pattern by SVG Attic cut with the Cricut Explore.  The paper is DCWV's The Christmas Mercury Glass Stack.  I used 2 sheets of the red, 1 red and it was easy to assemble.  All ribbon used by May Arts and are linked to their retail store and they are currently offering free shipping.  I used the green 3/4" Mini Pom Pom ribbon to decorate the edge of the sleigh.  I then heat embossed the sentiment from Hollydays stamp set by Pink and Main and used pop dots to adhere.  This is the perfect gift for a Secret Santa.

Santa's Sack:
I removed the drawstring from the muslin bag and used fabric glue to adhered the 3/4" Noel canvas ribbon to the inside of the bag.  I then layered the green 3/4" Velvet ribbon on top of the red  5/8" Sheer Grosgrain Stitched ribbon.  I used a gold star straight pin to close and added the jewelry charm, "Christ is the Reason for the Season".  Additionally, I cut strips out of gold tissue paper and used it a filler.

Now to reveal Santa's secret.  The bottom of the sleigh has a secret compartment.  Gasp! The chassis is a box! Room for more treats!  Let's load it up this bad boy because I've been nice all year long!

Peace, Joy, Love

Happy Friday, the eBrush DT continues to showcase our November sponsor, Dreaming Tree . I'm sharing the Nativity Scene from the the Christmas Paperscape Box Cards Collection.   The collection has 3 different designs and are available to purchase as single designs.

I cut the design on white cardstock with the Cricut Explore and used the eBrush with Sharpies to color the design.   These are 3D cards, however I cut the design larger to use for Christmas decor.

I used 2 blue Sharpies to eBrush the background in a circular motion around the North star, alternating between the 2 different blue markers.  I used the low setting on the eBrush on all the pieces and continued to add the color using washi tape to mask off areas.

All of the white cardstock was eBrushed with the exception of the North Star and Baby Jesus.  I used Latina Crafter's stamp, "Wishing you Peace, Joy and Love this Christmas".  I used Gold Shimmer embossing powder and  heat embossed the sentiment.

The backside of all of the Paperscape Box Cards have a cutout to allow space for a LED tea light.  Here is how the Nativity Scene looks like lit.

Here is a side view.  You can see the gold embossed sentiment and the shimmer of the star and Baby Jesus.

Dreaming Tree includes detailed PDF assembly instructions and step-by-step video with all of their collections.
The Paperscape Box Cards flatten for easy mailing and the SVG for the envelope is included.  As mentioned above, I'm using it for Christmas Decor and the my Nativity Scene measures approximately 9"x 6"

I hope you enjoyed my project today.  Thank you for stopping by today and enjoy your weekend.
