Happy Spring

I've been wanting to use the newest stamp set from The Stamps of Life, Mums2Stamp and I finally used it today! I LOVE MUMS!!  I also got to use an old hexagon punch by Creative Memories.  I haven't used my hexagon punches in over 8 years!  I've seen plenty of  projects using hexagons so here's my card using them as a border. 

The pattern papers are from Authentique, Blissful.   I used the following stamp sets from The Stamps of Life:  Mums2Stamp, Monogram2Build and Bunny4Easter.

I'm playing catch-up.  I have family and friend's birthdays coming up and I'm way behind.
Last time you saw Granny, she was gardening.  Today, she's "Muy Caliente".  I used FBD's digital stamp, Sunbathing Granny and the Muy Caliente rubber stamp (you can win it HERE).  I punched the border using Purple Cows Summer Punch It.  I also used their Wind It to create a metal handle....my card needed an embellishment and I love how it turned out.  The pattern papers are from K & Co., Julianne collection.  The inside of the card reads: Happy Birthday You've never looked better.  You may download it by clicking on the image above. Happy Birthday Hannah!

Today Heather's daughter, Hannah turns 10! She's now in her double digits! Happy Birthday Sweet Hannah!! :) Here's the card I created for her using Fresh Brewed Designs newest digi stamp.

I stamped the banner with The Stamps of Life, Banners4All set.  Added glitter to the ruffled shirt and the bows.  If you look closely, I also used Liquid Applique on the cupcake.

....because it's my birthday!!!  Yes, today is my birthday!  I wish I was feeling better.  I postponed my celebration for at least a week, but I'm celebrating in my craftroom to some serious bachata, salsa and merenque!   ¡AZÚCAR!  ROFLOL!!

FBD March Stamp Release Blog Hop

Celtic Heart

If I told you my Irish husband taught me how to make the Celtic Heart Knot, I would be lying.  Thank goodness for YouTube!  Here's the link: Celtic Heart

I first braided Twisted Lime with green floss.  I left my knot loose since the braid wasn't very thick.  I then dabbed some glue to the back so wouldn't unravel.  I guess I could have done a better job stamping the sentiment. :)  The potted shamrock is digital stamp from Fresh Brewed Designs.  Please stop by tomorrow for the newest Rubber Stamp Release Blog Hop. :)

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hello everyone! Here's one of the cards I created this week. I'm so excited I found the Spellbinders die set on clearance at Joann's.  Only it was their error so they honored the clearance price of $4.97! Woot!

Lucky Hats

I used Uncle Sam's hat (treat box) from SVG Cuts' "Made In the USA" collection.  I did make the brim of the hat slightly larger to allow it to curve.  The scallop shamrock is a freebie, also by SVG Cuts.  I created the buckle with the basic shapes found in SCAL2.

Living on the Edge Challenge

Purple Cows has a new challenge, Living on the Edge, create anything with decorative edges. Up for grabs is their CraftGeek 9 Blade Trimmer, click here for the details.

Here is my entry:

The scallop edges were cut with the YourStory rotary trimmer, oops a little contraband since I don't own Purple Cows' trimmer, yet. :)
I did however use Purple Cows' Summer Punch It to create the border.  The beautiful crinkle ribbon is by 3 Girl Jam, love their ribbon!  The pattern paper is by MME Madison 6"x 6" pads.  I'm so loving these smaller stacks.  My Michaels' recently brought them in and can't wait to get more!
The sentiment is my own design.
