Fall Fun Blog Hop with DCWV and Pink & Main

Welcome to the Fall Fun Blog Hop!  I am your second stop of the hop.

Autumn is my favorite season and I simply love DCWV Autumn Leaves paper.  I used Pink and Main's Wild About You, Turkey Day and their coordinating metal dies.

I colored the images with Tombow and Spectrum Noir markers.  The dies are open frames for better placement when cutting out the images.

I'm also doing a sneak peek of NEW, soon to be release nesting dies.  I used the Circle Stitched and Scallop dies to cut the layers of my banner.

I hope you enjoyed my layered Bountiful Blessings banner.  Your next stop is Jenifer.

Be sure to check out each blog in the hop and leave some love along the way. Also, don't miss entering for a chance to win some great prizes on the DCWV blog and the Pink and Main blog.

You are loved #AJillianVanceDesign

Hello and welcome to the last Thursday of October with Thanksgiving just around the corner, but before we get thinking about the turkey, stuffing and lemon meringue pie, oh that sounds good, wait, I have a card to share.

Now for my card, I used A Jillian Vance's Valentine stamp set, Love Struck.   I got you thinking about Thanksgiving and now Valentine's Day, but I promise this card is not a Valentine.
I used a kit my friend Rhonda gave me this Summer.  It's by Art C, it comes with everything to make a scrapbook page or a couple of cards.  I used a shimmer brown card stock for the card base and bits and pieces from the kit.

I got to use the new We R Memory Keepers Stamp Press.  I removed one of the tags, placed my stamps and aligned the tag.  I inked the stamps with CTMH Cocoa and pressed down the cover to stamp.  Worked like a charm.

I layered my pieces, added ribbon and lace.  I haven't used photo corners in awhile, I liked how they look on the card.  I especially like that the burlap flowers are not frayed.  I tried making my own, but they don't just fray, they fall apart.  If you have any tips how to properly die cut burlap flowers, please share in the comments below.

"You are loved" is a perfect sentiment to use for any occasion, would you agree?

Here is a photo of the stamp set I used, Love Struck:

I also want to share the special treat with you, a Spooky Discount available now through October 31st.  Thank you for visiting and enjoy your day.

Mixed Media Card #AJillianVanceDesign

Hello, today, I am sharing a mixed media card featuring A Jillian Vance Design's {DIE}alogue  Blessed word die.

I used several of Prima's product including paper, stencil, glass glitter, flowers and spray mist.
I first cut the card base to measure 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".  I distressed the edges and secured the stencil to the top panel and generously applied modeling paste.

The flowers were a bit too light so I lightly used the Color Bloom Worn Leather.

I then applied the Soft Gloss Gel to a few of the petals, leaves, front panel and sprinkled the gold glass glitter.

I cut the word die, Blessed on gold foil paper, however I wanted a distress look, not a smooth finish.  So I placed the front of the paper down on the scratched cutting plate.

After the modeling paste and the Gloss Gel completely dried, I removed the Color Bloom spray and splattered some ink spots.

Here is the completed card:

I simply love how this card turned out and I hope you enjoyed it too.

Thank you for visiting and enjoy your day.

Thinking of You #AJillianVanceDesign

I have been asked to Guest Design for A Jillian Vance Design for the month of November, but I'm making an early appearance this month.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and my project features the inspiring Kelly's Hope stamp set designed by Kelly Klepstein.  Please note, for every stamp set sold, $1 will be donated to the Vera Bradley for Breast Cancer Foundation.

I used the Rossibelle collection by Prima; paper, flowers, ephemera.  Since the stamps are clear, I was able to arrange them on the stamping block to appear as they in flight.

I then added a bit of wet glue to the heart shape balloons and sprinkled pink Prima glitter.  I adhered my layers and added a cluster of flowers, a pink doily and pink twine.
I also stamped the "thinking of you" and attached it with pop dots.  I randomly included clear rhinestones through out the card.  I additionally added a pink ribbon straight pin to the flower cluster at the bottom left.

I created the card for a very special family member fighting breast cancer at the young age of 31.  She is in my daily prayers.
If you are due for a mammogram, please schedule one soon.  Encourage your girlfriends, family members, coworkers to do the same.

Thank you for visiting today and enjoy your weekend.
