Altered Chalkboard

I am totally loving how this altered chalkboard turned out.  It is part of the Latina Crafter July Kit.  Here's a look at the kit's content:

I glued a portion of cork, stamped the word "read" on the canvas banner using Outline ABC stamp set. I glued it across the top, added the flowers and the clothes pin to the sides.

I attached the chalk to the back side of the burlap so it's not visible.  Since this is a gift for a special teacher, I added a row of wood shape "students" along with a globe in the center.

I would love to see your altered chalkboard if you purchased the kit.

Back to School with Latina Crafter

There is still time to create with Latina Crafter's August Sketch challenge.  I used one of my favorite collections from Echo Park, "For the Record" along with LC's Queria Decierte.

I realize it's a little late, but I am also sharing the card I created using the July sketch.

Challenge:

Best Day Ever

Well that was a long break.  Almost a month vacationing in the East Coast with lots of 'First Time Evers' and 'Best Day Evers'. Can one 'Best Day Ever' out do another? Absolutely not!  Each has its unique experiences and memories.  I had many of Best Day Evers! I wish I could do it again, if only recovery wouldn't take three weeks!

I shared my adventure on my FB and IG so I won't share them here, well not until they make it onto my scrapbook pages.

Here are several cards I created for the CHA Paper Craft Show in Atlanta for Pink and Main.  All the stamps used are from the August Release.
Here's a birthday card I made for GodSon using Super Dad, Happy and my favorite fave Chalk Alpha:

Until next time! It will be sooner than later because I need to catch up. :)
