Christmas Pillow Boxes #latinacrafter

Here are the pillow boxes I decorated for Christmas gifties using the October Craft Kit from Latina Crafter.

The kit comes with only two pillow boxes. I used one of the boxes as a template and created to create extra. If you have an electronic die cutting machine and have the SVG, you can cut what you need, but, if you don't have one or want the boxes to be uniformed you can easily create your own.
First, carefully open the seam from the box. Trace the template onto thick cardstock.

Before you start cutting, score your lines.

To score the folds on the ends, I carefully traced and scored.  I placed the cutout on a mouse pad and firmly scored the ends, do not add to much pressure or you will tear your paper.

Don't forget to erase all your pencil marks.

Here is another look at the pillow boxes. I used paper from Echo Park to decorate {not included in the kit}, wrapped with twine, stamped the tag and sentiment using the stamp from the kit.   Save your template for future use. Thanks for stopping by today.

Autumn Thank You #PinkandMain #DesignsOnCloud9

One of my sisters asked me to create seven Thank you cards, here are the cards I made for her.

She loved them, but waiting on feedback from the recipients.   All of the pattern paper is from DCWV Autumn Splendor.  This stack just keeps on giving.  I used it on the banner I created for another one of my sisters, you can check it out here

Wood veneer, glitter dots and the doilies are by Recollections.  I'm loving the gold jewelry cording!  I have using it on my cards and throughout my 30 Days of Gratitude album, will share it this week.

I stamped the "thank you's" with a couple of different sets from Pink and Main.  The diagonal and chevron background are SVG files from Designs on Cloud 9.

Now for the last two cards, they were simply embossed with Craftwells by Teresa Collins embossing folders.  {These are going to two guys.}

#LatinaCrafter Tribal Christmas

As mentioned before, I am loving foil cardstock and even more so when it's embossed.  I'm also loving when it's distress with inks, the looks is so pretty!  Anyway the Christmas tree and the arrow embossing are both from Teresa Collins by Craftwell from the Thankful  set.I  The silver paper is from DCWV Foil 6x6 paper pad and the pattern paper from Echo Park's, 'Tis the Season.  The gemstone star is by Paper Studio, Hobby Lobby's house brand.

Now for the stamping, I saw a stamp set in a kit that I totally love, but the kit is too pricey just for the stamp.  It  also looked familiar, well some of it.  The tribal circle is from Latina Crafter set Esta es la historia released December 2012!  I know right! Pretty nifty eh!  The arrows are from the set Tribal released in June of this year and the Alpha set released May 2013.  I am so loving how this card turned out! Especially since I used the stamps I already have.  Woot woot! :)  Thanks for stopping by!

#pinkandmain Birthday Icons

Not a planner? No worries, the icons found in Pink & Main's stamp set, Life Icons make fun and easy cards with or without sentiments.  Reminds of the 80's icon puzzle TV Game show, the name escapes me.  Does anyone remember the name?
I played with the sketch below and broke into the 6x6 paper pad, Capture Life from Echo Park.  The sentiment is from the Flower Bouquet Sayings stamp set.

Here's a quick glance at October's release:

Free Printables!  Latina Crafter is offering free printables to help you along with your card making.  Find them on this post HERE.

That Christmas tree!! Love it!  When I purchased the Cut N Boss from HSN, I also got the autoship.  Best thing ever!!  The tree is part of the Thankful die set I recently received and they are simply gorgeous!  I followed LC's Sketch #1 and used the printables.  Simple and fast card to make.  I embossed the card base and the tree insert with The Paper Studio embossing folder.  The gold paper is from DCWV Foil 6x6 paper pad.  And of course no tree is complete without a star.  The gemstone star is by Paper Studio, Hobby Lobby's house brand.

Please stop by and check out all the sketches and join us through the 10th.  There are sketches, inspirational photos, free printables, games and a special discount code.  Please visit BOTH the LC Blog and their Facebook group to participate.  You don't want to miss out.

#LatinaCrafter October Sketch

A day late sharing my take on this month's Latina Crafter sketch challenge, but here it is.  I discovered DCWV's Sunday Afternoon in a bin that is meant for other crafty goodies.  Really don't know how it got there, but I am sure glad I found it.  It has the cutest pattern paper.

The LC challenges always involve a sketch and most recently they have included a twist.  This month's twist is to use scallops.  I had planned on using the scallop stamp, but I couldn't find it.  I even searched the magical bin, but no luck.  Instead I used gold trim I purchased at Target's dollar spot.
I flipped the sketch and layered my paper bits.  The viewfinder is LC's metal die and the birthday sentiment is from Jessica's Favorite Sayings.  I embellished the card with some pretties from a previous LC grab box and that gold trim is from the jewelry section at Michael's.  Love venturing into that section, always some good finds.  It's by Bead Landing two ply cording.  The photo doesn't do it justice, but it really is a beautiful metallic gold.

Hope to see your creations linked and thanks for stopping by.  Here is the sketch and the products used linked to the shop:
