I'm back!!

We are back safe and sound from our vacation! Chicago and St. Louis were awesome, hot and humid but still fun! I will be back soon with some free files. I need to unwind first. LOL

This is my hubby at the Willis {Sears} Tower glass balconies. I walked onto one of them, but I have a scared look on all the pics. LOL

The view of St. Louis from the Arch.

Here we are inside of the Arch at 630 feet! I'm afraid of heights! Can't I believe I was up there. I don't think I will do it again.

We also visited the Lincoln Museum.

Graduation Center Pieces

My Godson graduated from high school last month, but I'm just now sharing the center pieces I created for his party. Inspiration came from A Scrapn Tia Tx. This was my first etching project. I purchased a small bottle of Armour Etch at Michael's over 6 months ago. It was intimidating at first, but it wasn't too bad. I purchased the tall mugs and the skewers at the Dollar Tree and the Contact Liner at Big Lots. All paper is The Paper Company. The tassel is from Amy from SensationallyChic Boutique. Please visit her, she has tons of wonderful cut files! The graduation cap can be found here on my blog.

I don't know if it's clear enough on the picture but he will be attending St. Louis University in August. {sigh} My hubby and I will travelling to St. Louis next week to join him during orientation week. Having a hard time letting go! Here's my Godson AC.

Dulce's Baby Bug

This was the first time I used vinyl, well acutally a purchased it and Dulce changed the settings on Cricut, designed her own SVG and applied the vinyl onto her Baby Bug.

Dulce is super creative she dances, acts, sings and loves crafts! I gave her a short quick session on SCAL2 and Inkscape, only once and she got it! She created her own SCUT file for Mother's Day and creates cards for friends. Recently she shared, that her friends don't believe she makes the cards herself. Her friends say "Oh, that's so store bought!" LOL I say that's a compliment!

The Non-Crafter Sister

A few weeks ago, we had a crop at my sister Leticia's home. All 3 of my sisters were there, Mom, my niece Dulce and a friend. We had a great time! I was working on my Godson's graduation party decorations. Lucy the Non-Crafter has been working on her album for about 5 years now. LOL Her layouts don't look that bad, do they? Well, that's because my 11 year old niece Dulce helped her.

Logged 1119 miles...

...to see my pride and joy, my niece Irene, graduate from Stanford. She has an Ivy League education from Brown and now a Masters from Stanford. Braggin' just a bit? You betcha! I am overwhelmed with joy! Her dream of teaching came true for her on Thursday. She signed her teaching contract. Unfortunately for me, she's staying up in Northern California. Wish she was closer to home. Oh well, what's another 1000 miles on the ole' SUV.

Here she is on Saturday's Latino Graduation Ceremony.

OWH Midweek Throwdown

Here’s another card for “OWH Midweek Throwdown”. The challenge is to create a masculine card. Geez this is the best I can do, masculine cards are difficult for me to do.
I followed a sketch from
IC Sketches.
The card base TPC, pattern paper is from DCWV Indian Summer and solid color paper is Creative Memories. Brads are Making Memories and the stamp is from G Studio I purchased a couple years ago and just now used it for the first time. Yikes!

OWH Cards

I stayed up pretty late last night and managed to get a few cards done for OWH. Here are the cards I created:

Kraft card base is from The Paper Company. The pattern paper is Cosmo Cricket. Ribbon is KI self-adhesive and the chipboard is from Michael's dollar bin. I used some floss from my stash to attached the chipboard. The "Long Hello" is from Paper, Scissors, Ink.

Last night I got to use my Cricut to cut once. My husband and I share the laptop and I had to hand it over when he got home. But that didn't stop me from creating. I went through my chipboard and found sentiments to use.

The blue card base is Creative Memories. The small polka dots paper was from scraps and that was from DCWV. The black and white pattern paper is from a free paper pad I received from Colorbok for joining their Colorbok Club. Flowers are Making Memories and Imaginisce. Chipboard is from Michael's dollar bin. The brad is from my stash.

The red card case is Creative Memories. The small polka dots paper was from scraps and that was from DCWV. The black and white pattern paper is Colorbok. Flowers are Imaginisce. Chipboard is from Michael's dollar bin. The brad is from my stash. The ribbon is from a snippet I was ready to toss out.

The black card base is from The Paper Company and the green cardstock is from DCWV. The black and white pattern paper is Colorbok. The chipboard and ribbon are from Michael's dollar bin.

The yellow card base is from Creative Memories, black cardstock is TPC and the black and white pattern paper is Colorbok. The chipboard is from Michael's dollar bin.
The ribbon and flowers I found at Dollar tree and is made by Crafter's Square.

My first challenge and first OWH card

So what do you think? This is my first challenge ever! LOL And my first OWH card. Planning on making two of each designs. I cut the title at 3 1/2" but the hat didn't come all that great. I recommend if you use this cut, you cut larger.

The off white and brown paper were from scraps.
Blue and red paper is Creative Memories (had them forever and a day!)
Gold brads are Making Memories and the twine I had longer than the Creative Memories paper! LOL
