Shabby Spring #GypsySoulLaserCuts

It's Spring time! Looking forward to warmer weather, but not the Spring Sneeze, thank goodness for paper flowers.
Today I'm sharing a shabby Spring card using Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Delicate Frames & Ornament Shape set  and Vine & Wire Frame.

I used a Chalky White paint to paint the butterflies, butterfly frame and the wire frame.

Before the paint dried completely, I pinched the butterfly wings for dimension.

Layered the card with different pattern paper and distressed the edges with scissors. I added the butterfly frame to the center opening of the wire background and added an extra butterfly for even more dimension.

I added jute behind the  paper flowers and scattered gold rhinestones throughout the card including the butterfly frame.

Thank you for visiting today and happy crafting.

Mod Podge Ultra Blog Hop

The Designer Crafts Connection team is featuring Plaid Craft's Mod Podge Ultra spray on. Crafting just got easier!
Plaid Crafts introduced Mod Podge Ultra spray on at Creativation this Winter. It's the same Mod Podge we all love; it works as a glue and sealer, water based formula that dries quickly. It's available in matte or gloss finish.

For my project today, I used Plaid Crafts wooden coasters, Mod Podge Ultra in matte finish and pattern paper.

I traced the wooden coaster on the backside of the pattern paper and then used scissors to cut. I then sprayed on the Mod Podge Ultra onto the surface of the wooden coaster. I then lightly sprayed on the Mod Podge on the backside of the pattern paper. Starting from edge, I carefully applied the paper and with my hands pressed out any air pockets.

Set aside to dry.

Next, I used the Mod Podge Ultra as a sealer. I sprayed the top of the coasters and allowed them to dry completely.

Here are the completed wooden coasters. No wrinkles and completely sealed ready for use.

Important tips about Mod Podge Ultra spray on:
Just like a paint brush, Mod Podge Ultra spray on nozzles need to be cleaned after every use. If they aren't they will clog and become unusable.

Please follow Plaid Crafts on Facebook for additional project ideas.

Pink and Main 5th Birthday Celebration

Welcome to Pink and Main's 5th Birthday Celebration Blog Hop! I hope you enjoyed all the creativity from the amazing Design Team and Guests. I am your last stop, sharing a Birthday card with some fun tassel balloons, but before you scroll down, remember to leave a comment at each stop for the chance to win $50 store credit. There will be FIVE winners and you have until March 24th to comment. The lucky winners will be announced on March 25th.

Now onto my birthday card. I used the NEW Party Balloons stamp and die set, die set along with the Happy Birthday word die set and the fun patterns from the It's A Party paper pad. I also used the Scallop Square die set and Stitched Square die set from previous releases.

I used a pre-made fringe tissue to create the mini tassel balloons. I trimmed the fringe tissue to about half an inch and then wrapped around jewelry cording securing it with a dab of glue. I started from the bottom and worked my way up. I then glued the top of the cording on the die cut balloons and added the pop dots and layers of balloons for dimension.

Before adding the top layer of each balloon, I stamped the words, celebrate, best wishes and happy day from the Party Balloons stamp set.

Here's a look at the full March Release!

Here is the complete blog hop line up, if you happen to come across my blog first, please hop on over to Pink and Main's blog and start from the beginning. We don't want you to miss out on the creativity and the chance of winning one of the FIVE $50 store credit to the shop. Remember to leave a comment at each stop. Spring Floral Treat Bags #RitaBarakat

Happy Saturday, I hope you are enjoying your St. Patrick's weekend. I have a quick treat to share using Rita Barakat's Floral stamp.

I stamped the image on white paper treat bags and colored the blooms with coloring pencils.

I then stamped the sentiment and adhered it to a pre-printed scallop circle. Using sharp scissors, I cut a dove tail on each end. I used Scrapbook Adhesives to adhere it to the center of the treat bag.

Yes, it was that easy and they look so pretty!

Marvy & Rita Barakat Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Rita Barakat and Marvy Uchida Blog Hop!
If you arriving from Betz's blog you're right on track, if you want to start from the beginning, please hop over to Rita Barakat's blog.

The Marvy Bistro Chalk Markers were so much fun to play with! I doodled on non-porous chalkboard paper to create fun and bright backgrounds for Sassy Sue!

I doodled and then doodled some more! Just a couple of tips when using Marvy Chalk Markers, make sure you shake them before each use and allow to dry completely to avoid smudges. I have a couple here and there. ;)

I colored Sassy Sue with a combination of coloring pencils and alcohol markers. I even used the Marvy Chalk Maker in Fluorescent Pink to color in her headband. She looks so cute!

Thank you for hopping with us today, your next stop is Michelle!

DIY Trifold Planner Insert #RitaBarakat

Today I am sharing how I created a trifold planner insert using Rita Barakat products.
I used the Heart Wing Art Foamie, Fairy Wings Gold embossing powder and a die cut from the Be True ephemera collection.

I generously applied the embossing ink to the the Heart Wing Art Foamie stampk sprinkled the Fairy Wings Gold embossing powder and applied the heat gun. I fussy cut the ephemera from the Be True collection saving the floral images I trimmed off. I then fussy cut the heat embossed heart wing image and applied the floral cuts to the back side of the heart.

The trifold planner insert is simply two A2 cards adhered to make a trifold. I used a velcro closure to secure.

The floral pattern paper is a divider I did not use last year, it was already pre-punched and too pretty to toss out.
Thank you for vising today, I hope you enjoy your week.
