Craft Kits #LatinaCrafter

Translation: Happiness is sharing cup of coffee with you.

I finally had time to play with Latina Crafter's March Craft Kit.  Coffee lovers this one is for you!!

This one is so my favorite!  It has a stamp set, wood veneer, stencils, ribbon, sequins, mini frame, flair and digital files.   Sadly the April Mother's theme kit will be the last of the kits so hurry on over and grab the available kits.

I want to take this moment to invite you to the LC iNSD event on their Facebook group.

Super Mommy #CricutEverywhere

Getting ready for Mother's Day, four more projects to go.  My project features Pink and Main's Super Mom stamp set with coordinating SVG files and Cricut files.

I sliced, welded and created the sunburst in Cricut's Design Space and I am ever so grateful for the recent update to Design Space.  The alignment function alone was a winner with me.  Having the "insert shapes" on the side bar was a plus too.  I used three stars to create the sunburst and used the "weld" function to make the new image.

Here's the front view.  The paper is Recollections' Comic Hero available at Michael's. I colored Super Mommy with Spectrum Noir markers.

Here's another side view.

I will be entering my project to Cricut's current contest, so wish me luck. :)

Thank you for stopping by today.

Craft Shopping #eBrush Altered Bag

I'm up on the  eBrush  blog today. Here's my project share:

Let's get to it, I altered a market canvas bag with Sharpie markers:

I designed a fun saying for my bag in Cricut's Design Space.  I omitted the letter o and will be replacing it with a heart rhinestone. {If you follow me on Facebook, you  know I am on a "No Spend Craft" month.  Come May, I will be filling up this beauté with plenty of crafty goodies!}

It took me about 10 minutes to carefully remove the centers of the letters and apply them onto the bag.

I covered the exposed bag with scrap paper.  I kept an extra sheet to cover the wording and then gave it a good pressing.  I did this throughout the eBrushing so the little pieces of vinyl wouldn't fly off the fabric.

Remove your vinyl, but make sure the ink on the vinyl is dry, especially the centers of the letters.  You don't want to smudge ink on the fabric.

I couldn't find the jumbo heart bling so instead I used a black/white chevron rhinestone.  The bag also needed a flower so I broke out the "vintage" Heide Swapp felt flower.

I hot glued the ruffle ribbon, flower and rhinestones.

Chime in if you agree Craft Shopping is always a good idea unless of course you're on a "No Craft Spend" month!!

Thank you for stopping by today, enjoy your weekend.

Mother's Day #LatinaCrafter

Translation: Mother is one who can take anyone's place, but no one can take hers.

Mother's Day is May 10th.  Jot it down on my planner today.  I also completed my Mom's card and mini gift bag.

The sentiment is by Latina Crafter from the La mejor Madre stamp set.
I made the card a few weeks ago, but I didn't allow space for a sentiment so I removed one of the flowers and cut the "note card" shape on my Cricut; inked the edges and stamped the sentiment with chalk ink.  The beautiful paper is from DCWV Honey Chic stack.
The gift bag is from the Planting Schoolbook collection cut on my Cricut Explore Air.  I added two circles from the basic shapes and sized them to fit slightly smaller on the face and back of the bag:

I purchased the flowers at the Prima Outlet Store. I wish I would have purchased at least two packs.  They are beautiful, delicate and they coordinate perfectly with the Honey Chic paper.   Love them!

And here's another view.   I hope my Mom enjoys her card and gift.

Upcycle Home Décor with #DCWV

I started redecorating a couple of weeks ago and I started with the foyer since it was in desperate need of a makeover.  I originally had a tall ceramic pot in the foyer, but I moved it to the dinning room.  The table was in the media room and the lamp was in a closet and together they make a great combo, but the wall space was so bare.  I upcycled a trio frame with the help of  DCWV Premium Collection 12"x12" White kit and the 8.5"x11" Bronze & Natural kit.

The trio picture frame was also thrift store find for $3 and it's perfectly imperfect.

The frames fit 4"x6" photos; I trimmed the paper and burlap slightly larger and secured them with Scor-Tape to ensure they stay in place.

It took me approximately 20 minutes to complete, 10 of those minutes deciding which paper to use.  Both collections have gorgeous laser cuts and patterns making it difficult decide, but love how it turned out.

Here is a close up of the upcycle frame:

I just love how my foyer is coming together.  There is plenty of wall space for some vinyl lettering, but I cannot decide on a saying.

Here's a different view.  Any suggestions as to vinyl lettering would be greatly appreciated.  Please share your suggestions below.

Social Butterfly #PinkandMain

Playing with Pink and Main's new planner stamp set, Planning Work today.  It's a stamp set I requested and I am so happy Michelle made this stamp for us bloggers.

I left the stamp set by my laptop while browsing "butterfly" in Cricut Design Space.  I was planning on making a Spring card when I made the connection: Social Butterfly.

In Design Space I imported the butterfly, sentiment and a rectangle.  I sized the front panel of the card, placed the sentiment and butterfly.  I center the butterfly and used the "slice" function in DS to create the butterfly window.

I then stamped the social media icons from the P & M Planning Work on white cardstock and adhered it the back of the butterfly panel.  And there you have it, my Spring Social Butterfly card.

#eBrush "You & Me"

I am super excited to be sharing my first project as the newest member of the eBrush Design Team!
When I received this corrugated "You & Me" as a gift, instantly exclaimed eBrush!!
It measures 21.75" x 5.5" and approximately 1" thick.

I gathered up a couple of Spectrum Noir markers and a mask.  I have a sensitive nose so this is a must for me.

I first used the Spectrun Noir marker GG1 for a light covering of the cardboard and eBrushed the first coat around the edges with CG4.  I then went in with LG4 to lightly eBrush the center of the letters and followed up with two more coats with CG4.

Here it is:

Gathered up my embellishments:

And here it is embellished:

And here it is, "You and Me" in the bedroom.

A real gem #pinkandmain

I love this diamond solitaire box!  I used DCWV Silver and Gold foil paper and it turned out fabulous! The diamond box and tag are Cricut files.   I stamped the "you're a real GEM" with Pink and Main's Bling stamp set.

Since I don't have the scoring tool for the Cricut Explore Air, I instead used the pen.  I placed the DCWV Silver foil paper upside down and inserted the pen to draw the score lines.  I then scored the lines on the Scor-Pal.

I used Scor-Tape to ensure the diamond box won't fall apart, .  Here's a closer look at the Diamond Box!
