Oh Deer! #AJVD

I am just now playing with the Oh Deer stamp set from A Jillian Vance Design I purchased last year.  Yikes!  Why in the world did I wait so long! This set is super cute!!!  I recently purchased their Ric Rac border die and I am so loving it!  The faux stitching did me in.

Since this card is for a couple, I wanted the deer to be cheek to cheek. The deer images are individual stamps, I first stamped the doe, masked her, then came in stamped the buck.  I used the smaller Ric Rac borders to decorate the inside and stamped, "Merry Christmas, for a Deer Couple."

I love the little Christmas paper pad from American Crafts, Home for Christmas.  It was one of my bargain finds at Marshalls.  The bitty jingle bells are a .99c embellishment kit I purchased at The .99 Cent Store Only stores, a California chain of stores.  Gosh love me a bargain.

You may see post again tonight.....'til then....have a fantastic day!

#PinkandMain Cocoa Kisses

Mmmm, hot cocoa!  We are finally having cooler weather, enough to wear a sweater, a light one. I can't wait for it to really cool down.  Snuggle up with a cozy fleece blanket, watch some classic Christmas Claymation movies with a  steaming cup of cocoa not dark chocolate because that's too bitter for me.

Now onto my card.  I paired the coffee drinking, pajama wearing chica from Need Coffee with the sentiment from Cocoa KissesThe paper is a 6x6 paper pad from American Crafts, Hot Cocoa.  It was one of my bargain finds at Marshalls.  I couldn't seem to find any embellishments to coordinate with the paper or theme of the card, so I fuzzy cut the peppermints.  Added a bit of twine and stamped the snowflake on her mug with the snowflake from Snow Sweet.

Handmade Holidays 2014 Blog Hop

Welcome to the 4th Annual Handmade Holidays Blog Hop! A few years ago we were looking online for handmade gift ideas and thought it would be great if there was a resource dedicated JUST to handmade gift ideas. Enter the Handmade Holidays hop! We've gathered over 100 of our creative blogger friends in the craft industry as well as some of our fellow product manufacturers to bring you a plethora of inspiring gift ideas you can make now to give to your friends, family, and colleagues. Pin and bookmark these ideas for this holiday season and to use throughout the year! Each day of the hop features approximately 30 gift projects and you can "hop" from one blog to another to check them all out.

Thanks for stopping by, my handmade holiday gift is a charm bracelet for my teenage God-Daughter. I used  Pink and Main's Alpha Tab stamp set, Ice Resin, and Media Mixage bezels.  Here is a photo of the additional items you will need:

I created four charms using Pink and Main's Alpha Tab stamp set.  I used a solvent ink to stamp on metal; using sharp scissors cut the stamped image, punched a hole and attached a jump ring.  Stamping on a slick surface like metal can be tricky, press down carefully for a soft landing.

I poured the Ice Resin into a mixing cup and followed the instructions on the package.  Make sure you use in a well ventilated area.   I added the charms into the bezel and poured the Ice Resin slowly, don't top off.

I also added a glitter to the first batch of Ice Resin, but opted for the clear bezel instead.  I will use the glitter bezel for a necklace.
Place the bezels on a leveled flat surface and allow 24 hours to cure.

And here is the charm bracelet for my God-Daughter Dulce.  I included charms of things she loves; music, playing the piano, she loves baking and cookies and because she's a hashtag queen, I attached those charms too.

Altered Notebook

I'm getting ready for my first online Bible study this week and this is the notebook I altered for my notes, thoughts and prayers.  I am so happy how it turned out and it came together pretty quickly, sort of.

I removed the original green cover by removing the spiral, yes I actually did and not only that but, then I punched every single hole. :)  But I think it's beautiful with all the gold!  The pattern paper is from DCWV Gilded stack.  Gorgeous foil paper!  The image is from Sherri Baldy and the image below is linked to the shop.

I cut the "Blessed" on my Cricut using SCAL2.  {I wish I could remember the font I used.}  The heart frame is also from Sherri Baldy and can be found here.

The wood veneer shapes are from Recollections and Studio Calico.  The gold dome pearls are from Joann's dollar bin and the gold scallop ribbon from Target's dollar spot.

Here's another look:
I forgot to mention, I colored with Spectrum Noir markers.
