#DCWV Christmas Tree Treat Boxes

Hello December!  Today I am sharing a set of Christmas Tree treat boxes from the Christmas & Winter GiftBox Stack from DCWV.  There are 24 boxes in this kit.  The boxes are perforated around the edges and are pre-scored for quick assembly.  I chose to decorated them a bit using the coordinating 6"x6"stack  Winter in the Woods.

Here's a look at the sheets:  Each sheet comes with two "to & from" tags.  I choose to use a bigger tag and stamped a Spanish sentiment , May you Shine brightly this Christmas, from Latina Crafter.  I also decorated all four sides by cutting the triangles using the Spellbinders Mixage triangle die. I closed the boxes with twine, tied a bow added the tag and topped it off with a sequin snowflake.  Adding the scallop square base was an after thought and I really liked how it looks.  I used  the Classic Scalloped Squares die by Spellbinders.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today, stay tuned, I will be participating in a blog hop, later this morning.

Happy Thanksgiving

Wishing all of you a Blessed Thanksgiving!  Can't believe this year is coming to an end so quickly.  That's how it works, right after Thanksgiving, time goes at a super speed and before you know it, 2015 will be here.  Ok I will slow it down a bit, one day at a time so for now I have so much to be thankful, oh so thankful and so blessed.

Now onto, my card.  I used Latina Crafter's Pilgrims drawn by Jennifer Nilsson.  I colored them with Spectrum Noir Markers.  I recently attended the Crafter's Companion Warehouse Sale and finally purchased the pastel collection set.  I  am slowly working on completing the collection.

The paper I used is from a card kit I won at Scrapbook Blessings.  Cute pattern paper, I believe it's from Doodlebugs.  I used the banner dies from A Jillian Vance, finally I have perfect banner tails.  The nested dies are part of a Grab Bag; 7 different die sets are included.  AJVD is offering an additional 50% off the 'sale' category, visit their blog for the code.

Latina Crafter is also having a sale, save 30% off your entire purchase.  Use code: GRACIAS

#DCWV Sweater Weather Banner

Thanksgiving is almost here!  All month I have been writing in my Gratitude journal for everything I am thankful.  As I sat at the kitchen table, I looked towards the mantel and realized it was missing something. I quickly realized it was in much need of a banner; a simple reminder of the season, be Thankful
Today, I am sharing the Thankful Banner featuring the Sweater Weather 6"x6" stack.

Here is a list of items you will need:

1. DCWV Sweater Weather 6" x 6" stack
2. Mini clothespins
3. Dimensional adhesive
4. Wire garland or twine
5. Die cutting machine
6. Ink
7. Sponge dauber

Choose your favorite patterns, I chose patterns that will coordinate with my existing decor on the mantel, setting aside the wood grain pattern paper to cut the letters.

Using my Cricut, I sized a triangle to fit the 6" x 6" paper and cut 8 triangles.
I used the Copper Black font, sized the letters to fit 4 onto one sheet of 6" x 6" paper.

If you do not own a cutting machine, you can hand cut the triangles and letters.

Next, ink up the sponge dauber and ink the edges of all the cuts.

Add dimensional adhesive to the letters and place one on each triangle.
Use the mini clothespins to attach onto the wire garland or twine.

This is a super quick project to make; you can easily make this banner less than 30 minutes.
Add the banner to your mantel, dining area or if you are serving Thanksgiving dinner buffet style, dress up the buffet table with the banner.
I hope you enjoyed my project.

I want to wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving;
be Thankful

Abundant Blessings,
Yolie

With a Grateful Heart

There is so much to be grateful this Thanksgiving.  I am so grateful for the abundant of blessings in my life.  Along with trials that I am also grateful they happen, without them I wouldn't be the person I am today.  I am so grateful for my husband, Michael, family and friends.  I am indeed blessed.

Today I am sharing a few of the treat boxes I made using DCWV's, Sweater Weather.  I used Designs on Cloud 9's K-Cup gift box.  I reduced the top and bottom of the box to fit onto two 6"x 6" sheets of paper.  I decorated the tops with doilies and used the left over scraps of a project I will share tomorrow.
I used the Grommet Tags die from Spellbinders and stamped "with a Grateful heart" sentiment from Pink and Main's Thankful stamp set.

I also want to share I am now designing for Die Cuts with a View.  If you follow me on Facebook, you have already heard about my news.  I am so excited to be joining their mega talented design team.  I hope you stop by DCWV's blog tomorrow as I will be sharing my first official project.

Here is a closer look at the treat boxes.  Thanks for visiting me today.
