Mardi Gras with the #eBrush

"Let's alter an apron for Mardi Gras," she said.
We altered 2 aprons for Mardi Gras with the help of the eBrush of course.  My sister now owns her very own eBrush and she's loving it!  I may have had a little bit to do with that.
This was a collaboration, I created the stencils on the Cricut Explore and we both eBrushed.  Here are some close ups and some tips:

Make sure your fabric is freshly laundered without fabric softener.  After eBrushing and before adding embellishments, heat set your design with an iron on low to medium setting, depending on the fabric type.

¿Te animas?, read the subject line. {Are you up for it?} with the attached sketch.

So we altered a flag/banner.  My sister had the nylon fabric and scraps of purple fabric.  She made the banner, I cut the stencils and we both eBrushed the flag banner.

It was windy on Saturday, but the flag turned out pretty fantastic!!  Before my sister made the flag/banner, I asked her to test a Sharpie for bleeding on piece of scrap and to dunk it water.  It didn't bleed nor did the colors run.   Both sides have the same design and embellishments.

Let's back track a bit, Dulce got the baby figurine in the slice of Rosca de Reyes during the Feast of the Epiphany, aka Three Kings DayIt means she gets to host dinner on Día de la Candelaria, which is February 2nd.
Here are the sweet treats my super talented Dulce made for the Día de la Candelaria.

My sister's home decorated for Mardi Gras.  All of her decorations are from previous years.  Only the aprons and the flag/banner where made with the eBrush.

Thank you for visiting and Happy Fat Tuesday!
{Debi, are you reading this? If so, I believe I earned my beads}
