Here is what you will need: jars, your favorite word dies or shapes {The Spanish dies I used are from Latina Crafter}, 2mm foam and strong adhesive, Krylon 18 kt Gold Paint.
Here's a tip, use a beige color foam or use chipboard. I used what I had in the craftroom. Took a couple more coats of paint to cover the white foam but the Krylon 14kt Gold spray paint has great coverage. Also, keep a toothpick on-hand to scrape off the excess glue off the glass and the foam.
Here are the results.
Depending on the words or shapes you are planning on using, a short and wider jar would work best. I used three coats of paint to cover the white foam and love how the foam appears glittery. I decorated the jar by adding a cluster of poinsettias with red rhinestones centers.
I will be placing battery operated tea lights and as mentioned above, I used three coats because I want the light to shine through.
I hope I have inspired you to save those jars and use them on your next project. Thank you for stopping by today.
