This is how I created the embossing sheet: I cut several photo reels out of paperboard {recycling a priority mail envelope} it's what I had. I glued three of them together. Then cut a sheet that fits my Cuttlebug. I then glued them onto the sheet. Next, I embossed my paper using both B plates and the embossing mat by Spellbinders. Depending on the thickness of the paperboard, you may need a shim. Please note, do not make your "sandwich" to thick or you risk breaking your machine.
I also cut a photo reel out the cork paper and stamped a sunburst. The smile wood button was actually a stick pin, but the pin fell off. LOL For this layout, I like it better as a button. :) All paper is from the Echo Park Kit, For the Record. This is the first time I use cork paper, loved the texture, but I had to glue down everything because the tape wasn't sticking.
I used the sketch provided at the Paper Secrets challenge. You may want to check out their shop, sale going on 30% off until July 31st.
