DIY Halloween Pillow with Glitter Vinyl

Today I am sharing my first Best Creation Inc. vinyl project. I am officially on their Creative Team for a 2 month term and I couldn't be happier. Let's get a head start with Halloween!
School is back in session, temps seem to be cooler where I live, but I won't jinx it.

I am bit anxious for Fall and I have decorated my foyer with help of some Glitter Vinyl! I used the Orange iron on glitter vinyl, but first I made a lumbar pillow with Halloween fabric.

To make the pillow, please follow the instructions here. If you're not a sewer, no worries, you can find one at your local store, just remove the pillow form to flatten and add your iron-on design.

My lumbar pillow measures 16"l x12"h. I found a "spooky" word design in Cricut Design Space and sized it to fit the front of the pillow to 13" x 5.025"
I trimmed the Orange Glitter Vinyl to fit the design and applied to the 12" x 24" mat.

Cricut Design Space does an excellent job of reminding you to place the vinyl correctly and mirror the image. After your design is cut, you'll need to weed it.

Leave your cut vinyl on the mat and carefully remove the unwanted vinyl, leaving only the design.

Best Creations Inc. includes iron-on instructions in the packaging and you may also find it on their website. 

Next, carefully remove the plastic in a rocking motion to reveal your iron-on design.

Eeek!! Here we have it! My foyer is ready for a Spooky Halloween!

I simply love how the Glitter Iron-On Vinyl looks on the foggy bat filled fabric!

DIY Thank You Gift Card Holders #rinea

I'm always in need of thank you cards. Especially, card that can hold a gift card. Today, I am sharing the trio gift card holders I made using Rinea Foiled Paper. The complete list of supplies is at the bottom of the post.

Die cut the leaves with Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and the "thank you" on Rinea Blush/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper. I made three gift card tag holders, so I cut a total of 6 sprigs and 3 "thank you" sentiments. Next die cut the pockets (die cut not pictured) and assemble using glue. Allow to dry. Next die cut six photo corners using scrapbook paper. I used the paper trimmer to create the tags. Trim a 12" x 12" scrapbook paper to 3.75" x 6", punch a single hole in the middle and trim off the corners.

Position the pocket on top of the tag, then glue down one of the photo corners, followed by the second. Glue the "thank you" sentiments on the front of the pockets.

Glue the Gold Foiled springs and attached one flower to each pocket. Add a rhinestone to the center of each flower. Trim the twine and attached to the tag.

Insert a personal note or gift card, use the paper clip to keep the pocket closed. Secure the pocket within the photo corners, and we are all done.

These Blush/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and Gold/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper gift card holders came together very quickly. They may be my go-to cards for the upcoming holidays.

4th of July Treat Bags #rineapaperfoil

Ready for 4th of July Celebrations? Here's a quick way of dressing up your treat bags for the 4th.

I used 1 sheet each of Rinea Paper Foil Ruby/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper and Silver/Silver Star Struck Foiled Paper.

To create the fringe, I used Spellbinders Fringe die, however you can easily create the fringe with scissors.

After die cutting the fringe, I used Westcott 8"scissors to cut the fringe down the middle. I then measured the width of the bag and cut the excess.

I used Westcott Hot Glue Pen to apply a thin line of hot glue at 2" from the top of the bag and placed the fringed Paper Foil Ruby/Gold.  I then added the Silver/Silver Star Struck fringe at 1 1/2" from the top.

Next, I trimmed the puffy silver star ribbon to the width of the treat bags. I folded the top of the bag to create a 1" flap. I then hot glued the puffy silver star ribbon on the flap.

Here are the completed 4th of July treat bags. I took the American flag confetti and attached it with a small clothespin, which helps keep the bag closed.

I purchased the treat bags at my local craft store, but you can dress up any small bag with fringe Rinea Paper Foil for your 4th of July celebrations. You can fill them up with your favorite treats!

Pink & Main June Release Blog Hop

Time to hop!! Hello and welcome! Today is the last day of the Xyron/Pink and Main Blog Hop! What amazing inspiration from both teams, don't you agree!

Let's get started! I used several Pink and Main "Pink Metal Dies", the newest Aloha Pineapple stamp, the Beach Babe 6" x 6" paper pad along with the Xyron® 500 Create-A-Sticker and Xyron® 1.5"Create-A-Sticker machines.

First, I did some die cutting. I used the Aloha Pineapple, Oval, Circle, and Scallop dies from Pink and Main.

I then ran all of the die cut shapes through the Xyron® 500 Create-A-Sticker.

I found it easier to leave the bottom layer on the sticker back. I then layered all the pieces. The Pineapple die cut is inlay technique I've been wanting to try.

I then used my Westcott 12" TimrAir paper trimmer to cut the card base and card layers. I used a chevron embossing folder to add texture to the green card stock.
I then ran all the pieces through the Xyron® 500 Create-A-Sticker.

Now for some stamping. I used the We R Memory Keepers Stamp Press to stamp the "thanks" on the pineapple die cut.

I used several pattern paper from the Beach Babe 6" x 6" stack using the Scallop die set. I lightly misted the back with water and layered the die cuts to create flowers. I used Westcott Hot Glue Pen to assemble.

I dug deep for these rhinestone swirls. They have been in my stash for awhile now...not awhile, more like years. I cut them and placed them on the corners of the card near the flowers.

Some more stamping, I sought the help again from the WRMK Stamp Press and stamped the word "aloha". I used a ombre ink pad by Recollections I purchased last year, to my surprise, it was still very inky. I then fussy cut "aloha" and ran through the Xyron® 1.5"Create-A-Sticker.

Here we go..... the completed card! I truly love how it turned out!

SRM Stickers Blog Hop

One of the planner sticker sheets I received was the Calendar Numbers/Small. It's perfect for my undated DCWV Planner. I own multiple planners and this one is my work planner.

I used tweezers meant for beading to remove and apply the numbers onto July monthly and weekly pages. Using tweezers to apply stickers helps preserve the adhesive.
The stickers are clear which worked perfectly when applying.
As you can tell, my work planner is color coded. It's functional with limited decorating. 

I also used the July sticker from the Calendars Months-Small/Sleek sheet.
