Altered Shoes #SaborPapel

Welcome to Wedding Wednesday. I have another Día de Muertos wedding theme project.

I used Ramitos and Amor Eterno from Sabor's Amor collection to alter the Bride's Wedding Shoes.  Ready? Vamos a empezar!

Wedge shoes were easier to work with and they provided more space to design.  I used a piece of copy paper to create the template.  I made 4 templates in total, 1 each for the sides, front and the back of the heel.  I used 3 sheets of 12" x 12" paper, depending on the size and height of the shoe this will vary.  I used the Ramitos paper for the wedge cut out the hearts from the Amor Eterno paper.
I applied a generous amount of Mod Podge directly to the cork heel.  A light coat of glue to the backside of the paper, this made the paper to work with since it's 80# card stock you don't want it tearing.

After I covered the wedge of the shoes, I applied 3 coats of Mod Podge to help prevent any paper tears or scratches.   After the glue completely dried,  I then applied a strand of braided jute to the mid section of the shoe with hot glue.

Next, I took my eBrush machine to airbrush a couple of Prima flowers with Sharpies.

I fussy cut the bride and groom from the Amor Eterno paper, glued with matte Mod Podge.  I then took a rhinestone mesh and cut a strand of rhinestones and outlined the heart.  I then finished up the heart with small flowers.

I cut additional strands of  rhinestones and hot glued them to the upper edge of the shoes.
I carefully cut the buckle on the side of the shoe, hot glued the airbrushed flowers on top of green tulle and finished it off the center with a large rhinestone.

Only one side of the each shoe was decorated with La Novia y El Novio.

I hope you are inspired.  Even if you're not rocking these shoes at your wedding, you can totally rock them any time of the year.  Please share your altered Sabor shoes, I would love to see them!

Watercolor Stack #DCWV

Happy Tuesday! Is it just me or does today feel more like a Monday?
Today I'm sharing a card I made using The Watercolor Stack.   The stack is available at Joann's and seriously, with the amazing sales online or at your local store, I would grab a stack or two.

The gorgeous designs on this stack paired with gold foiling are totally amazing!  I used the cutout sheet and used the "really really like you" for the greeting.

This is the inside of the card.  I almost don't want to use a liner.  Oh idea!  I will use  vellum instead so I won't completely cover the design.

I love it when I can use product from my stash, they are flowers by Prima Marketing and they match perfectly!  I used  dimensional Glue Dots to adhere the flowers.  The gold string can be found in the jewelry section of your local craft store.

Thank you so much for visiting today, enjoy the rest of your crafty week.

Scraps, Tips and Candles #eBrush

It's a month long fiesta featuring Sabor Papel, this month's Craftwell sponsor.

Lately, I've been challenging myself to make a little something using scraps.  My birthday card, I used scraps from  Sabor's Olé collection.  I used the eBrush with Tombow markers to add shading to the pieces.

To avoid getting inky fingers, I used painter's tape to hold down my pieces.  I took a 6" strip, with the tacky side up, I folded the ends and taped them down to my working paper.  I gently placed my scraps onto the painter's tape and voilà, no inky finger tips or flying scraps.

Here is my birthday card.
Translation:  Make a wish! Blow out the candles!

I found a green doily from my Christmas stash and eBrushed it and added it to the background.
I took the 4"x 6" cut out and trimmed down to 4" x 3 1/2, layered the strips of scraps to the top 3" x 4" cut out.   I used Glue Dots to adhere the yellow top layer and adhered the heart die cut.
I fussy cut the candy and added them along with sequins to the heart die cut.
Finally, I added a jute ribbon to the top and adhered the doily border, it's a doiy punch I've had in my stash forever and a day.

Here is another tip:  I used Mini Glue Dots to adhere the sequins.  It seriously made it so easy.

Thank you for visiting today.

Mini Purse #eBrush

It's a month long fiesta featuring Sabor Papel, this month's Craftwell sponsor.

Today I am sharing a mini purse I made using paper from the Amor collection, die cuts from Ole collecction and of course my trusted eBrush.

I imported the free purse SVG file by Dreaming Tree into Design Studio and used Sharpies for shading.

I used Scor Tape to assemble the purse and used pop dots to adhered the sentiment and flower.

I used three strands of jute and tied them to close the bag.  She's a cute little thing!

Thank you for visiting today, enjoy your weekend.

Wedding Invitation #saborpapel

Welcome to Wedding Wednesday.  Sticking to the Día de Muertos wedding theme, today I am sharing an inviation.

I used Ramitos and Amor Eterno from Sabor's Amor collection to make a wedding invitation sample.

I used a SVG file cut on my Cricut to create the wedding invitation.  I used black paper for the front panel and back panel of the card.  I adhered them with Scotch Quick Dry glue.  I think the most difficult part of making this invite was choosing which side of the paper to use for the front of side of the invitation.

I fussy cut the bride and groom from the Amor Eterno paper and used pop dots to adhere to the right side of the panel.

Here is the inside of the invitation.  Both sides of the paper have beautiful floral prints, you can see why I had difficulty deciding.

I hope I have inspired you to create your own wedding invitations using Sabor's paper.  The Amor collection is perfect for that.
Thank you for visiting today.
