Altered Frame Swap

I altered this frame for the August swap over at Creative Inspirations & Friends forum. I altered it for Wanda from Wanda's Crafts.

I bought the wooden frame (5x7) at Joann's for a couple of bucks; I painted the edges with acrylic paints; I adhered the paper with Mod Podge; all paper is K & Co. The stamp is from Heide Grace, Day Dream Believer; the label holder is Making Memories. Flowers are Prima and from my stash. I used Darice rhinestones for the centers. The swirly bling is from Want2Scrap.

Happy Birthday - My Dad's card

We celebrated my Dad's birthday yesterday. His b-day is on Thursday he'll be 72. Both my parents love to garden, between both of them, they have 4 green thumbs! On Father's day I made a wreath with packets of seeds, got the inspiration from here. He planted the radish and the pumpkins, it was too late for the others but he will plant when it's time. The wreath is the fourth picture on the slideshow.
The last pic is my dad with a pumpkin that was growing in the front yard, up until last week when a kid tried to steal it. He thought he can grab it and go, not realizing it was still on the vine. My dad was so proud of it too! Oh well, he does have others growing in the back yard, along with tomatoes and chiles!

Now for the card, I used My Scrapchick's, Harvest Bears Collection. The sign translation is simple, "Mata Garden". I had so much fun cutting this lil guy! I chalked all the edges, which I think I like better than inking them. I cut the tag using shadow and used pop dots so the tag slides in/out. I also included some cash for him.

Paper: DCWV, TPC, Creative Memories and scraps
Ribbon: Michael's dollar bin
Chalk: EK Success
Cuts: My Scrapchick, TBBM, and my own design.

Easel Card Swap

I made this easel card for a swap over at Creative Inspiration & Friendship, Penny Duncan's new group.  Please check it out and join us!

I made this card for Wendy. I didn't want to post it until she received.

The background paper is K & Co paper; all other from my stash. Bling is from Want 2 Scrap, flowers are Recollections. I got the butterfly from Dollar Tree. The birthday stamp and the green ribbon are from Michael's dollar bin. Last but not least the cutie was cut with my Cricut and SCAL; it's from Treasure Box Designs', the Valentine Collection.

My card also made the "Craftie of the Week" over at the Scrapbook Creative Divas; my card is on the left side bar...Yay!

It's all good

I made this journal for my niece, Irene. She's coming down from San Jose this weekend. The stripe, pink and polka dot papers are from Making Memories Cheeky Collection-Abby; it's a 6x6 pad I had for 4 years, just now used it! Geez! The brown and flower papers are from the free paper pads I received from Colorbok. I first wrapped the ribbon all the way around the notebook, don't want to chance it coming off. I used Mod Podge to adhere the ribbon and paper to the composition. I cut a piece of chipboard (cereal box) and attached the brown paper to give it stability, I then used my Creative Memories large circle punch and punched the circles from scraps. I used pop dots to then adhere to the front cover and added some faux stitching with my Creative Memories fine tip pens; had them forever surprise they still write!
I used Stardust Gelly Roll to finish up the title.

I am Thankful

I needed a devotional book for my upcoming Fall Bible Study. I purchased the composition notebook at Staples for .10 this past weekend.
I used K & Co. and TPC papers. The bling and flowers are from my stash. I'm not 100% sure but I believe the frame was from Paulo.

I created the title "I am Thankful" especially for this project, so I did not add swirls at the end of "l". I think it may need it, what do you think? This is what you can do, when you imported into SCAL2 weld on any of the swirls. All other cuts were the Home Decor cart.

I also decorated the inside with the scraps and added a pocket. And no project is complete without adding some form of glitter... I used my Gelly Roll Glitter pen!
