CSDivas Card Challenge

Please join us today for an online crop with the CSDivas. You can preview the challenges on the main page and there're prizes to be won. :)
Sandy's challenge is to create 3 coordinating cards in keeping with the Diva Moms' Rock theme. You can use the colors in our crop button, pink, black, white along with some sparkle and bling.

I only made one card so far and stayed with the color scheme.  Here's the birthday card I created for my sister.

Paper: is from scraps except the cardbase
Ribbon: Joann's value bin
Bling:  Hotfix stones
Stamp: The "wish" is from Studio G $1 stamp.  The damask is from Sandylion set I got at Big Lots for $2.

Buttons and Flowers: Making Memories Mocha, about 3 years old

Stamp: it was a sample stamp and I don't know the maker, but it's one I bought recently.

Here are my two beauties being not so beautiful. :)

Save the Date for "Link Up For Pink"

Most of us know someone who has had to deal with this disease. My Mother-In-Law, Pat is currently fighting breast cancer.  I thought it would be a good idea to do our part to raise awareness by hosting the “Link Up For Pink”, linking party. It will be held on October 1st through the 14th on our blogs. Every project linked will be pink themed and there will be lots of opportunities for prizes. More details will be available as the day approaches.

Please help us spread the word by grabbing the code and displaying the button on your sidebar. So please save the date and remember to get your mammograms.

In Bloom Challenge

I'm submitting the following layout to Stephanie's In Bloom Challenge in the CSDivas group.
Challenge was to create a layout with handmade flowers.  The flowers and leaves are cuts from the Think Pink Slice card.  The paper is from Deja Views. I sprayed them with homemade glimmer mist and crumbled them up, added some bling for the centers.  The other paper is from DCWV.  The title was cut with SCAL and I used my Cri-Kit pens.  The pen wasn't dark enough so I traced it a fine tip Sharpie, I think it's time to buy the marker holder. :)

The young lady is my niece, Irene in Venice about 3 years ago, you can see the famous Rialto bridge behind her.  I will be giving this to her  so she'll do her own journaling, this is another attempt to get her to scrapbook. :)
