CSDivas Stash Challenge

The challenge given by Sandy at CSDivas, was to alter a box and use 2 pattern papers, 1 ribbon, stickers or stamp set from our stash.

Here is my altered box it contained Chinese Moon Cakes, it's a nice sturdy box...I'm glad I saved it from the landfill. It stores my felt shapes and monograms. I used  K & Company paper. I couldn't find stickers, until I checked the bottom of my basket and found some very old Heidi Grace chipboard flock letter stickers.

The doodle scallop frame is from SVG Cuts.

And here's a journal I created for CSDivas February's swap.
Paper is K & Co. can you tell I love their paper. :)  The flowers and frame were cut with my Slice, Vintage Findings.  The word inspire is from the Home Accents cart.  The border is a SVG cut file but I don't remember where I got it from.  The organza ribbon is from Joann's.

Lucky Challenge Layout

I'm submitting this layout to two different challenges, CSDivas and the Creative Cutting Room, both asked to create anything with the theme "Lucky". This is my niece (god-daughter) Dulce. This is one of the few pictures I took of her on this day (4/23/02) were she didn't make a funny face. Silly girl! She still hasn't changed much, she's just as silly today. :)
Love you mija!

The heart shape charm says "made with love" I believe it's from Blue Moon.

Happy Spring

I'm participating in the challenges over Creative Scrapping Divas' Live Crop this weekend.  Sandy challenged us to make a card with the following techniques pleat/ruffle, joy fold, gate fold, easel and/or brad card.  I chose to make a gate fold card which I have never made before.

It was a bit of challenge to align the butterfly arch but I got it done.  I used SCAL to design and cut the card:  the card closed, measures 6.75x5; the rectangle 10.25x5.618; the small square 2.375x2.809; the butterfly frame 5.963x6.028

I ended up trimming off the square and adding a top note label instead. :)

Paper: DCWV and K&Co.
Bling: Hotfix stones and Stickles
Flowers: Prima
both stamp sets by The Stamps of Life

I would love to share the cut file but the butterfly frame is not my own.  You can visit Monica's blog to download the frame...you're going to love her blog!

3/22 UPDATE:  My card was featured over at Patches of Pink!! Yay!

Spring Forward Blog Hop - Day Two {CLOSED}

Welcome to my blog and to the last stop of the Spring Forward Blog Hop.   Aren't these ladies super creative!  If you happened to come across my blog and want to participate, please start from the beginning at Lora's blog.

Here's my layout for today:  This is my god-daughter Dulce at Easter 2002.  The pattern paper is from old Making Memories kit, Garden Party.  The pink cardstock is DCWV.  I've had the shape brads forever and a day.  I think I got them at Dollar Tree.  The cute lil' is a paper piecing pattern from Melin's new collection, Cutie Patootie!!  You can find the collection of four girl patterns at Paper Crafting World.  I stamped her face with Peachy Keen stamps #PK490 and drew in some eyelashes.  I also gave her some earrings and an Easter basket from Creative Memories sticker.
