Rinea Foil Blog Hop #DesignerCraftsConnection

Welcome to the Rinea Blog Hop.
Rinea offers paper-foil it has two thin layers of colorful aluminum foil with a sheet of paper sandwiched between them. This gives the material a paper-like sturdiness with the malleability of foil. It keeps the shape it is given which makes it ideal for creating 3-dimensional objects. Having paper-like quality also makes it great for embossing or die-cutting designs. It comes in glossy or embossed finishes in many popular color combinations including bold, pastel, and metallic colors.
I used the sampler pack for my 3D project today.
I used my Cricut Explore to cut the Rinea paper foil.  I set the custom setting at "foil" and made sure the cutting mat was a low tack and clean. I used the owl lantern from Dreaming Tree and you can find the assembly video tutorial here.

The Rinea paper foil cut perfectly!  It takes wet and dry adhesive like a champ.
Here is the photo I snapped of the owl in low light.  It looks amazing in the evening.  I slightly cured the feathers, the Rinea paper foil keeps its shape beautifully making it great to use on 3D projects.

Here is a side view; I embellished the eyes, bottom and feathers with rhinestones.

I hope you enjoyed my colorful owl.  Your next stop is Terry's blog.  To view the complete lineup, please visit the Designer Crafts Connection blog.
