April Birthdays

One of my sisters, Lucy, turned 47 this month and here is the card and gift purse I made for her.

Paper is Recollections and K and Company. I embossed only half of the card and then heat embossed the 47. I definately need more practice with heat embossing. Flowers are Making Memories; ribbon from Michael's. I picked up the purse from Beth over at
My Cricut Scrapbooking. I bought a big bag of Darice rhinestones at Michael's with a 50% coupon. It's a bargain, you get one pound of assorted colors and sizes. To adhere I used Tombow Mono Adhesives Metal Liquid Glue, worked like a charm! It dried pretty fast too without the heavy fumes of Zip Dry.

My little brother, Robert, the baby of the family, turned the big 4-0! I got 40 Sucks lollipop bouquet idea from Denise over at Paper Past Time. I recycled a peanuts container and used a 4" Styrofoam ball. I also created a card with his nickname, but I don't dare to share it. He hates his nickname, which by the way I gave him when I was just a toddler. LOL

One more card

And my favorite card! This one is for my niece Dulce. It's seems that her card is always my favorite! Paper is DCWV and Recollections. I used a scrap glitter paper on the shamrock, I think it was also DCWV. The sprinkles are beads by My Minds Eye and ribbon from Michael's.

I finally used the homemade recipe for Shimmer Mist. IT WORKS! It's hard to see on this picture but I sprayed gold mist on the embossed dark green and key lime paper. I haven't had time to play with the food coloring, but I'm happy that it actually works. It's going to save me $$!

A few cards

I completed all my St. Patrick's Day cards just in time on Saturday.
So happy that I was again able to use my scraps.

Recession Card

Here's a card I worked on this morning.

I punched the "silver coins" from a seal of a chocolate powder mix. Recycle Reuse Repurpose! Or is it because I'm cheap? LOL

Have A Shamrocking Day

Here's my first St. Patrick’s Day card. Again, I did good with my scraps, all but the card base is from scraps. Woohoo!
The frog girl is suppose to be holding a balloon but I replaced it with some shamrocks.
