It's blog hop time! Rita Barakat and Ken Oliver Crafts have teamed up for a super COLORFUL hop featuring Color Burst and Rita's Whimsical Creatures die cuts.
I had a blast playing with Ken's Color Burst! All that BURST of color!! Color Burst comes is a powder you gently sprinkle onto watercolor paper. Each bottle is chock full of watercolor powder.
I sprayed a generous amount of water onto the watercolor paper and then carefully squeezed a small powder puffs of Color Burst. I mean seriously, this was so easy and look at those colors!
I wanted to coordinate the background to Rita's Whimsical Creatures die cuts. So I the Color Burst in lemon yellow, orange, phthalo green, ultramarine blue and violet.
After the colors dried, I sprayed water to create water spots. Love!
Next, I trimmed the watercolor paper to panels to fit a 5" x 5" and 4.25" x 5.5" cards. I used Pink and Main's Magical stamp and die set for the sentiments. I added just a few Rainbow Glossy Dots to each card and some fun twine.
You can see in this closeup what I meant about coordinating the Color Burst background to the image. This cutie has a yellow, bit of green and purple in her hair and the background does too. I adhered her with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D foam dots for dimension. Love!
This gorgeous creature has blue and purple. So does her background. I die cut the word Magical from the watercolor scraps and glued it the background die cut in black. So loving it!
Gorgeous!!!
