I think I'm a CraftGeek!! I took advantage of the Buy More and Save sale at Purple Cows and purchased the CraftGeek Stamp It kit. I also purchased the Winter and Autumn stamp sets. Sale is still on! I should get the other stamp sets too!! They stamp beautiful corners and borders on your projects. I created a gorgeous layered border around my card. I just love how it turned out!

Here's a closer look at the stamped layers. The image is from Paper Makeup Stamps, Isabella Fairy.

Here's the Stamp It and the Winter set. When you purchase the holder it comes with the Summer stamps. It's so easy to use. The base of the older has paper guides and the frame has a magnetic closure that keeps your paper in place. The acrylic block is also magnetic so your stamps pop right in.
If you follow the guide and are stamping both the corner and border, you'll get a spacing as you can see on the sample below. I chose to move the paper slightly over so the stamping is continuous. Just a personal preference, both ways look just as pretty.

Cooking with Cricut has a new challenge: Child's themed Valentine project using red,pink, white. Here's my card:

I created the mat with border using my Gypsy and Cake Basics. The girl is a Cutie Patootie from Paper Crafting World. I used three different files; Tootie from the Cutie Patootie collection, the outfit from the Love Bug Bear collection and not pictured, a Christmas Elf.

I inked the edges with Purple Cows Roll It heart stamp. Here's a close up of the stamp. Love it!

I've been sick with the flu, but I'm feeling better. Thanks to the "care package" I received from Celeste. Ribbon, buttons, paper flowers, glue is a crafter's chicken soup. Thank you Celeste!!
So what's up with the title? Well, if you hopped Fresh Brewed Designs today, you will know exactly what I'm talking about. I will share the video that inspired the card, but please do the hop. FBD has some wonderful Valentine's Day digital stamp release.

I added the hearts to Groovy Girl and created my own sentiments. This is a catchy tune, although when I sing it, Charo comes to mind. ROFLOL!

CWC Challenge #69-Winter Warmth

Today’s challenge at Cooking with Cricut is to create a project with the theme of Winter warmth' i.e. scarves, hats, fireplace, hot chocolate, etc.

I created a bear "Sending Warm Fuzzies" with a tall cup of frothy hot chocolate, with tiny marshmallows sprinkled with cinnamon and nutmeg and may I add, it smells yummy!

I used the Bear holding the caramel apple and the coffee cup from "I love you a latte". The heart is from Cake Basics cartridge. I embossed the cozzie and the blue paper with Darice's embossing folder I purchased at my LSS. I didn't know they made embossing folders, until I saw them at my LSS. I hope they make more designs. :) The sentiment is my own, you may download it below.

We had to use something old from our craft stash, something new (a recent purchase or new technique), something borrowed (an element from a Cricut cut or from a Paper Crafting World cutting file or digi stamp) and of course, something blue.

Here's what I whipped up:

OLD: The pattern paper and embossed paper is at least 5 years old. NEW: The bling from Heide Grace and doily by Wilton. BORROWED: I borrowed the outfit from the Trick o Treating bear and put it on the new Celeste Fairy. BLUE: Well there's plenty on there. =)

I used Purple Cow's, Craft Geek Spring Paper Punch to create the border on the card. The gift box was a free One-Piece Gift Box SVG collection from SVG Cuts. The beautiful rose was made by Celeste and the leaves are a cut from my Making Memories Slice. =)

It's almost Christmas!! Poinsettias and Christmas florals are the focus of day 21 of the 25 Days of Christmas Crafting Fun at Cooking with Cricut. I altered a gift bag using white silk poinsettias I've had for two years. I removed the stems and inners; replaced the inners with bling. My gift bag is bilingual. LOL!

It's Day 18 and we are focusing on the Nativity and Angels Rejoicing the Good News. I created the "Greatest Gift of All" nativity scene for my sister. I used the newest Nativity cut file; added swirly pearls, silver Stickles to the star. The title cut file is my own.

25 Days of Christmas - Day 10

It's Day 10! Here are projects using Cooking with Cricut newest digi stamp and cut files.

First up is the Santa with reindeer digi. The card is one of the smallest ones I've created; measures 3.5"x4". Can't really tell in the pic, but I added Stickles to Santa's fur trim and finished up with red twine.

Up next is a combination of two cut files; Santa going down the Chimney and the Gingerbread House 09. The card measures 5.5"x4.5". The "ho ho ho" is a dollar stamp by Mary Engelbreit. The paper is from the Recollections Xmas stack, surprisingly, I've used it for most of Christmas projects this year. Yes!! I also finished up the card with some twine. Santa looks kinda worried, he ate one too many slices of pumpkin pie!

AND my last project is a wall decor for one of my sisters; the frame measures 10"x10". Can't see it on the pic, but I added Stickles to Santa's trim. I also used gold foil paper to get the sleigh. I love Melin's files and I think this is my favorite "favorite"! So for the small details: Did you see his glasses!? Cute, they are sittin' on th edge of his nose. I used velum to mimic the glass. I also added tiny itty bitty button brads to his suit; they are by Recollections. The organza with velvet center ribbon is one of my favorite ribbons. I think I may have to make another trip to Hobby Lobby. The "Merry Christmas" stamp is a year-end 'thank you gift' from the Stamps of Life.

And here are my BIG elves! They are almost 2 feet tall, (22" to be exact). I have never played with cuts this big, it was loads of fun and easy too! No small parts to misplace. I made them for my Mom, she decorates her home with the cards I give her...too cute! She's my biggest fan or I should say my only fan! ROFLOL! I'm sure she will love these cuties.

Flurries Forever!

The wind is howling out here in Southern California! Kinda chilly too, finally! =) Too bad it doesn't snow out here, this lil' guy is wishing for "Flurries Forever"!!
The snowman was printed on a transparency and I colored it with Bic Mark Its on the reverse side so the ink wouldn't run. I ran the sentiment on the front side, the adhesive is on the front, then sprinkled with super fine glitter. I also added Stickles to the falling flurries.
I'm sharing the sentiment below, ~~but if I get enough requests to share the red/green sentiment, as seen on the card, I will have it up on tomorrow's post.~~ =)

Crafty Sprouts Tag It Challenge

Crafty Sprouts has a new challenge, Tag It! I'm guest designing for the next two challenges, including this one, so here's my card using a sentiment from Smile On stamp set.

I just love the sentiment and love "Sunshine" from Fresh Brewed Designs!! How cute does she look with her polka dot rain boots! The pattern paper is from K & Co. The card is one I saw a couple years ago, I don't remember where but I love heart pocket. I used the heart from Sure Cuts A Lot program. One heart sized smaller, then turned it upside down and welded both hearts. The cloud is also a shape in the program. The tag is from Tags, Boxes and More cartridge. Purple is my favorite color and would you believe I don't have purple flowers! What??!! (Celeste, did you read that? I don't have purple flowers. LOL) I used Purple Soda Smooches to paint pink Prima flowers. I just love how they turned out!! I was surpised the bottle of Smooches wasn't dried out, I've had it since this Summer and who knows how long it sat on the store shelf. =)

Here's my card: Is it too early for a New Year's card? =) Of course she's celebrating with coffee.

I think this will be one of my favorite, favorite stamps! I can't believe I haven't used it before. You'll be seeing more cards with this image, that's for sure. I stamped the image on glitter paper and then paper pieced the dress...it really does look better in person. Here's the card I created, using paper from my stash and some new too!

The shape cut is from My Minds Eye, I Believe kit.

Here's the inside of the card: All images and sentiments are from The Stamps of Life. The fancy label is a die cut from Sizzix cut on my Cuttlebug. The glitter paper is from DCWV and I also used Gelly Roll Stardust glitter pen to accent the ribbon on the gifts.

The window frame is recycled from the packing of Art-C glitter.

Here's the packing I recycled. I'll be creating another project using the brown window frame. =)

Here's a quick card I created using My Minds Eye, Believe Kit. I first embossed the Kraft paper from The Paper Company with Cuttlebug Snowflake folder. I then inked the flakes with a silver ink pad by Studio G, it added a bit of shimmer. The die cuts and paper ribbon are all from the kit.

PCW Stash Challenge

Today is National Recycle Day so the challenge at PCW is to use something that we have in our stash or that we have used before and can "recycle" into something new.
I've had this Mrs. Fields cookie tin for a few years, almost came close in tossing it out a couple of weeks ago.

And here it is now! =)

The black white flower paper is from one of the first DCWV stacks I purchased several years ago. The swirly bling is by Want2Scrap; in my stash for at least two years. The fabric flowers are fairly new, bought them this Summer. The beaded butterfly is handmade by Celeste. Happy Wednesday! Today starts a new challenge at Cooking with Cricut! It's all about Fruits, Cornucopia and Harvest time.
The card base is from Elegant Edges cart, I used the hide/contour feature to hide the flourish on the lower right hand corner. My paper kept tearing, what I should have done was use my Cri-Kit pens to draw, then add glitter. The bear and the leaves behind him are digis from Paper Crafting World.
The sentiment is a stamp set from here..

Here's the inside of the card. I used the Thanksgiving cart. I used my Cri-Kit pens to draw the title. I then colored and added some glitter to the leaves.

Hmmm not to sure if I like how the icing turned out, but I didn't want to redo the cupcake. I used white puffy paint and then swirled in some purple. The lace background is my cut file if you look closely, it's also on my blog banner. =)

As your host, I came up with the theme of the hop, but I couldn't get myself to make something "cucuy (boogieman) worthy! I had a card in mind, but couldn't get myself to make it....it was too creepy for me. LOL I'm a big scaredy cat, so I consider this creepy. :) When was about 6, I was a terror! My aunt Carmen couldn't handle me anymore. So she would tell me spooky stories and told me that the cucuy was going to get me if I continued to be bad. It was a different time back then although I have used it with my nieces and nephews but it didn't really work. LOL Here's the screen shot of my almost "creepy" card:

Cooking with Cricut Challenge #56

I made the Cooking with Cricut Design Team! Yay! This is the first challenge I'm participating as a member of the Dt. The challenge is to use purple, green and follow the sketch below. I used the postage cut from the Sentimentals cart and the pumpkin with flourish from Scary and Chic. The adorable bear is a digi stamp from Paper Crafting World, you can find it here. The ticket stub and the "treat" are both by Inkadinkadoo stamps.

The owl on pumpkin is a spanking new digi stamp by Fresh Brewed Designs....I love owls, on paper that is. I'm afraid of the real ones, they are all over my neighborhood and I have a couple nesting on my roof. Not cute! LOL The sentiment is from the Ows2Love stamp set by Stamps of Life.

I'm entering the card to Fresh Brewed Designs Challenge #67, create anything using pumpkins and to challenge #69 use black, orange and purple.
