Kacee's Birthday Blog Hop

Happy 36th Birthday Kacee!  I hope you have the most wonderful birthday ever! :)
If you hopped from Gloria's blog, you are on track, if you happen to come across my blog and want to hop along, please start with Kacee.

Here's the birthday card I created, "Have your cupcake and eat it too!"

The cardstock and glitter paper is Colorbok; pattern paper DCWV.   I wanted the look of real icing and M&M's so  I used puffy paint by Tulip.  The party hat and cupcake die cut is from My Mind's Eye.  The green starburst is a cut from SCAL2.
The digi stamp is by Jen's Digi Stamps.  Currently she has a special promo buy get one free that ends on September 2nd, take advantage of the sale.  Jen's Digi Stamps is one of our generous sponsors for Link Up for Pink.  She also has a cute freebie here: Jen's Freebie.

Here's my second birthday card:

While visiting blogs, I saw the prettiest embossed cards, I forget to use my embossing folders.  So here's my card using two different folders.  The paper is from my stash; the ribbon is from Joann's and the floss by Darice.  I cut the fabric flowers from a ribbon I purchased at Joann's.  The pearlies are by Recollections.  The digi stamp is by Heart Song Designs and it's a free digi!  I'm entering this card to their HSI #13 Challenge Anything Goes.
Heart Song Designs is also one of our generous Link Up for Pink sponsor. :)

Blog candy:  Leave a comment to win five yards of each color twine.  I will choose a winner on Friday, September 2nd.

Your next stop is the talented Shannon from My-O-Scrapping

MY PROJECTS:

I used a 12" foam ring, 1 yard of BCA fabric, 1/2 yard of pink fabric.  Cut squares at 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" rolled them to make a cone, pinned to the foam.  I purchased 2 1/2 yards of the flower ribbon at Joann's.

Here's the card I made using the digi paper I designed for LUFP:
 Inside sentiment.
The stripe pink paper is from my stash, the heart with ribbon is my own design.  The sentiments are from Jillian Vance "Have Faith" stamp set, one of our sponsors.  The ribbon and bracket were cut with my SCAL2, the ribbon is one of the free images in SCAL2.  The pink pearlies are by Recollections.  I used the card sketch provided by Stampin Daisies for their first challenge, also one of our sponsors.

GIVEAWAY:

A pink commuter mug with pink goodies!
1 yard each, pink and hot pink of wide organza ribbon
1 yard each, white and hot pink organza ribbon
5 yards of pink twine
1 pack of pink pearlies by BasicGrey
1 pack of pink bling
12" of flower ribbon, the one I used on the wreath
1 stamp by Studio G "Don't forget to smell the roses"

Please leave a comment, and I will choose a winner on Monday, August 29th.
I do hope you link up your pink projects in October!  There are so many prizes....some sponsors have already sent out boxes of goodies to us!  Most importantly, get your mammos and remind your girlfriends....grab our LUFP badge and help us spread the word! :)

Trick or Treat

I wanted to use a solid color twine, but the floss that I had was too thin and the color was too bright.  So I colored a strand of  8-ply  twine, purchased at Big Lots.  I used a fine point orange Sharpie, you can also use a stamp pad to change up the color of twine or ribbon. :)
Sorry for the poor pic.

I colored these with highlighters; works best if you use a wide chisel marker.
...and here's my card using the orange twine! :)

Paper and pumpkin brad is by Imaginisce Spooky Town collection.  The stamp is by Inkadinkadoo Creepy Crawly stamp set.

A little about me:   Hi my name is Yolanda, AKA Yolie, {JustYolie}. I live Southern California. I’ve been married to Michael for over 8 years and I’m blessed to have him in my life. He’s also very supportive in my scrappy adventures. We don’t have children of our own, but we have four nieces and nephews. If you frequent my blog, you know that my Goddaughter, Dulce, is the inspiration of most of my pages.

I’ve been scrapbooking for almost 6 years and making cards for about 2 years. I just love it all and I’m totally addicted! I started my blog, almost two years ago and that opened up a whole new crafting world for me. I love playing with paper, it’s relaxing and it brings me so much joy. I am super thrilled to be part of Roberts DT!

Here are a couple of my favorite layouts:
